Can't help but posting for the bump. Terribly sorry OP, I hope this works for you. No classic dealers on here in the vicinity able to help?

If that's possible then how about we can all contribute towards it?

Come on corvette/petrolhead people surely we can make this happen!!
I'll be the first to stick £20 towards it wink

Very good cause.

Hello mate. I don't know if any of these will do but I have a bunch of stuff I look after, some of which is road legal, some not, so the degree of interaction with the cars will vary.

Mustang Mach 1 1969 428Cu. (best sounding V8 ever...basically GT500 running gear)
Mustang 1969 GT/CS
Ford T'Bird 57.
Pontiac Trans-am (corvette runing gear)on a P plate.
Buick Riviera boat tail GS Stage one
5.8L engined V12 jag on 6 twin downdrafts.
Lancia thema 8.32.

And a load more. I don't know where you are in the UK but I'm near to Oxford. If I can help I would be more than happy to.

If there is a 'rental' one (can't look i'm at work) i'm sure we could get enough money together through PH?

I'd help for the hire costs, and another bump to the top of the page.

Just trying a couple of contacts to see if we can rustle something up. Not promising anything but will give it a go.

I see a couple were sold recently on classifieds, are the buyers on here?

Yes, there's a blue 1971 for hire at around £200 a day (midweek)

Just been in touch with Tom Falconer, proprieter of Claremont Corvette. If your able to get your wife to his premises he would only be too willing to take her for a drive in a 1969 Red convertible that he has in his showroom.

If there is any logistic problem with transporting your wife to Claremont, maybe we can hire a limo to take her there between us?

All the best.

I'd be happy to donate £20 to the cause, for a limo or hire or whatever is needed.

Having seen this earlier I dipped into the thread about the OP's wife. I had to stop reading it as sitting at my desk at work with tears running down my face isn't the norm.

Can't help with the 'vette but happy to make a financial contribution if it'll help.
