In the Independent yesterday and on-line, in a news piece re bankers bonuses and spend at London boat show and in Canary Wharf Porsche dealership -

"The affluent customers could also admire a Lamborghini"

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/government-...

Funnily enough I was reading this earlier: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12147304

"...driving down Emigration Canyon into the city in a half-tonne Chevrolet Suburban sports utility vehicle..."

Sorry, what? SUVs are lighter than I thought! Oh. hehe

Perhaps the copy was cut and the full version reads "The affluent customers could also admire a Lamborghini as well as this Ferrari and other exotica." Or maybe I'm just trying to find excuses (although it is not unknown for copy to get cut short for publication)

Caterham and Ariel could learn a thing or two from those yanks you know. Hope 300bhp/ton doesn't see this, he'll be quoting that article in every 'what 4x4 thread' for years to come.

Quite right. Who could possibly admire something as shockingly ugly as the car in that picture.

Just had a thought- they may have been referring to the payload of the truck. Not sure about USA but in Australia they refer to some utes by the capacity e.g Holden 1 tonners.
