I remember in the 60s my ol' dad had big chrome hubcaps on his Zodiac that covered about 3/4 of the wheel. As far as I can remember they only started being called wheel trims when the horrible plastic things came out. But I suppose you're right as far as that car in the report goes.

ETA.. Also I've just thought that my Astra van has hubcaps & that was built in the year 2000, just to be pedantic you understand.

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital after an accident closed a busy route in Plymouth this morning.

Was there a particular reason why the reporter emphasised 'A WOMAN' like only a woman could cause a 3 hour closure for a 'whoopsy daisy'.

Sorry but you cannot call that a crash. That's an insult to those that have been involved in a genuine accident.
