Where do I stand? Garage says I need a new bonnet!

Not sure if this has been mentioned as I have skim read the thread. The Z4 is known to have problems with the catch mechanism for the bonnet. As others have said, just check it's not something simple. I cannot believe that a new bonnet is required unless there are two size ten boot marks where some spanner monkey has jumped up and down on it to try and effect a temporary "fix".
