................and probably power-driven too.

The inner edges of the front tyres rub on the chassis on full lock, either direction, on Volvo S60 phase 2. But there are protection blocks at points of contact. So that's O.K. then.

I'm bringing this thread back to life with this...

One of the selling features of the Hyundai Getz was that it has/had more rear legroom as the Hyundai Sonata.

You can all sleep better now you know that. wink

So what where the selling points of the Sonata? "big car exterior with little car interior"?

It is impossible to get the windows on a VW Phaeton to mist up no matter what settings are used on the climate control (as learned by my son who is a current VW apprentice)

Why did they only do that to the Phaeton, would be much welcome on the entire VAG range!

Wasn't it called a B class? Or was that a completely different car?

Not the best link, but here you go. Mk 1 A class LWB. B class is much later and a different car.

Well it took me a while to read the whole way through, but read through I did. And I've learnt some fascinating things along the way.

Don't remember seeing this, the MGZT V8 (260?) has bigger brake discs on the rear than the front. Is there any other car like this??

Also the MK2A/MK3 polo has three heater settings. Windscreen, feet, and nothing but extra noise. The two I had were both like it.
One of them had windscreen washers that soaked the front seat passenger when the sunroof was open. Most amusing...
