Who cares if you paid a little over the odds- not sure you did without being there, driving and looking at it. My own dream Ferrari is a 456 Maranello and I've achieved all my other car targets so believe it will be in reach in due course.

Your car looks bloody great I hope you enjoy it. biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin

OP, don't worry about the haters - they're just jealous. I got the same with my Aston. Not content with rubbishing it, they even had a go at the chassis - FFS, it's a PH favourite! And look at it!! Peasants.

It's a 1992 K-reg, Rosso red, cream/black leather, manual.

I'm told it's quite rare, it's a pre-launch model so I'm told. It was the prototype model that Ferrari themselves took upto the Tyrol mountains for reliability testing. However, I have noticed a few things......it doesn't seem to be that fast?

I've been reading reviews on the F355 and people said it was blisteringly fast, 0-60 in 5 seconds, top end of 180mph. Thing is though, mine doesn't feel that quick. The owner told me the mass air-flow sensor needed replacing. I think I have a broken exhaust too, but the previous owner again assured me that it was an after-market "Veilside" special one-off piece. I mean, don't get me wrong it is VERY loud but it doesn't sound like other F355's I've heard.

Also...is it true that Citroen Saxo's are quicker than F355's from 0-40mph? I think so because I've had alot of these VTR's and even standard 1.1 Saxo's beat me off the line, although admittedly I was going uphill and I know the F355 has a b*gger of a clutch.

Anyway guys, I paid £49,750 for the car. I think I might have paid slightly too much, but considering it is a pre-launch model AND a prototype that Ferrari used I think it'll be worth a fortune in about 5 years time.

Here are pics of my pride and joy,

The problem you have is that you bought the prototype model. It is a little known fact that Ferrari did not have much money at the time of development, about 50 quid reportedly, so they had to borrow some money off mum and dad.

At which time they all decided that the toyota mr2 was such a lovely car that they would just use that as a base and put the ferrari body onto it. Sadly as previously mention they only had the money they borrowd off mum and dad and had to skimp on a few things.

Dont feel bad, you now have a prototype that your know was built with love and committment with added bonus of toyota reliability biggrin

But what about

I'm not 100% sure on the 5 minute time-frame of foolishness for some of the previous posters. wink

Brought this beautiful 250 GTO yesterday.

Paid £100k for it which is a bargain. Cash has been transferred into his account and he is sorting out the delivery for me.

It was such a bargain I only bothered watching the first 5 seconds of the video before I whipped out my bank details...
