Evening All,

After a lengthy and fruitless Internet search I turn to you fellow Pistonheaders for advice.

Trying to understand wheel offsets is only part of my problem.

Im attempting to fit Alfa Romeo 166 Brembo calipers to a 306 Rallye/GTi6 using 207 GTi THP175 brake discs.

I've taken all sort of calculations from the car, the calipers and the discs. I've even created some CAD drawings that proves that pads fit the discs. Bolting the calipers to the car is a problem I'm half way to solving.

The actual problem is trying to calculate the offset required to clear a brake conversion.

The measurement from the face of the brake disc (where the wheel mounts against) to the outside of the caliper is 51.8mm. So to be safe a the clearance to the inside of the wheel spokes/rim needs to 52.5mm at the very least.

What would the wheel offset need to be to gain this amount of clearance?

You'll need ET53 or more.

Gah, edited because I confused myself.

Currently undecided, the car is currently on the standard 15 x 6 Cyclones however I'll need something like 16 x 7 or 17 x 7 to even have a chance of getting them over the brakes

OP.

This is for Stoptech brake products, but a template to check spoke clearance might be worth making up?

Even if you get the ET right doesn't mean that the callipers will clear the spokes.
