X reg BMW 330i schnitzer saloon, black with black leather and 100k. I only had a quick look but alls I could see was rust on the front wing and the wheels need a good refurbishment.
Its for an elderly friend who has had it on her drive for a year and wants rid.
Any ideas?

Actual AC Schnitzer model (ACS3?) or just a regular 'loon with Schnitzer alloys?

I'm not too sure, Let me tell you a little about it...

Standard M-tec body.

18' type 111 wheels

Badge on right side on rear, right side on front too.

It looks low, so it has been lowered.

front bumper has vents through to brakes.

otherwise it looks a pretty standard affair

What should it have?

The lady who has it was actually given it for some reason and has not really driven it since owning it.

I'm a poor 17 year old student, who fricken loves old BMW's (See my recent thread about trying to buy a vandalized one)

I think it would be very unfair to simply convince her its worth nothing, but I would be very interested if it is going cheap. Would be restored to showroom and stored until I can insure it. smile

Only problem is i'm in Ireland but would be able to organize transportation etc....

Not being rude but dream on, I'm 19 and have looked at insurance for a BMW, for a ac schnitzer one you will probably have to be around 22-25 to get ok insurance.

If a proper ACS3, it might be worth a look. Otherwise, it may just be a standard saloon with replica alloys. I'd expect some ACS body additions.

I know what your saying but I'n my experiance itsmore fun to work your wway up through cars, theres no point having a nice motor that you cant afford to fun.

Plus the VRT would be a killer on a 3litre!

not to mention the tax you would have to pay to register it in Ireland because you have not owned it for 6 months prior!

It might be worth contacting Rossiters http://www.rossiters.net/ as they deal with Ac Schnitzer and may be able to help you

I would expect you could get insurance on one at 19, I got both of my BMWs last year when I was 20 and they were both pretty cheap to insure.

For some reason it's very expensive for me, I have a good post code and put my mum on the car but it's still quite expensive.

Try tesco insurance, they were always the cheapest for my BMWs.
