Too old for me I think, Z4 is currently winning.
Given that not much goes wrong with them you'll be spending the summer driving it, not fixing it. Plenty of low-milegage cars in your budget too.

Yup I'm liking it, now to just work out which engine is where the money is, I do like the idea of the M Roadster though, it just looks better!

I assume that being an M car the servicing won't be particularly cheap?

I'll buy it off you for 10k once the weather turns miserable! hehe

S2000 for 10k, Z4M if the money does indeed stretch to £15k

It's a stop-fill car I'm looking at if I were to sell my V8 Vantage Roadster now before buying something else at the end of summer when supercar prices come down again.

I am doubting in my ownership of the car it will need a service, so I'm purely looking at the knock on the price of another owner and a few thousand miles.

So I thought the 350Z looked interesting so I went to do an insurance quote, it costs MORE than my Aston Martin. Who decides this stuff!

ETA: Ahh that was with the GT Pack, it goes down significantly without.
still absolutely laughable, the GT pack is only leather, bose and that's pretty much it!!

Z4 M Roadster for £16k, how much should I expect to lose over 4 months and selling at the end of summer after about 6k miles?
Very nice!!

Should be able to get it for £15k. It's a buyer's market out there wink

If I could buy for £15k and it would still be worth maybe £13k come October then I think we're onto something.

PH What Car threads actually work smile Now to get out and look at one!

If thats the case and you dont want to miss the V8 vantage roadster, then the SLK55 has as much go from its 5.5L V8 and sounds similarily good, there are a few around for £16-£18k.

If you want something as close to depreciation proof then you probably want an early facelift boxster, a well priced S2000 or an early manual SLK350.

Good thinking, the only downside is my Mother has an SLK350 and it wouldn't really fit to have the same car! Although her new model is due in July.

More options to add to the list but I've found a rather nice Z4M Roadster on BMW approved used that I like the look of. The Aston advert is now up on PH and will be on Auto Trader tonight so I'll wait for that to go before I go to see replacements.

I don't want to wait til July though, and inevitably it will actually be August as I'll be looking to buy my V8V replacement soon after that (October or so)

Can you get a Tamora for £15k yet?

I know you have an age limit, but TVR Chimaera is the correct answer wink Your budget would get a very nice one that will lose no money and should be reliable too.

strange about the Zed insurance price but not knowing your circumstances, i was quoted £650 this afternoon on a £12K Zed by Admiral multicar (taking into consideration a non fault £40K claim i had last year) they will start another new policy for it at 3 years NCD

Having said thats it still twice the price of my old viper insurance costs

Surely the most important question of all is...

...what will you be replacing the Aston with!?? yesthumbup

One of DBS Volante, V8 Vantage Roadster S, Ferrari F430 Spider or Audi R8 V10 Spyder, but we'll save that for another day!

I'm thinking of doing the same thing but with a bigger budget, the only problem i can see is the fact its been owned for such a short time tends to put a lot of people off ( including me).
