Battery had died on my 7.1 GT3 and I tried to get into it today after about 2 weeks (normally fine) and there was zero power. Couldn't open the bonnet so did the whole attach jump leads to the emergency pull thing in the fusebox and door strap, yet still no joy. I was getting a little spark when attaching the leads, so there was juice going, but zero happening.

Any ideas? I tried searching for a fuse for the bonnet release (there is one for the rear hood release) but no joy. Very confused.

Also, rather worryingly, after I'd opened the car with the key, I put it in the ignition to see if there was any juice, but the key locked in and wouldn't release. It only came out when a brief amount of current appears have unlocked something in the ignition. Was worried I'd have to abandon the car with the key in frown

Been there a few times....after you connect the slave battery leave for a few minutes and press bonnet release on key fob...usually opens bonnet first time...mines always worked when the floor mounted buttons didn't. Good luck. Ian

Remove front left wheel and front inner wheel liner. In there will be a small cable with nipple on end. Pull that and it manually releases the bonnet. Whole thing takes 10 mins.

As above, this worked for me the other week when a 7.2 GT3 RS went flat in my trailer. After a bit of faffing it was the only way to get into to bonnet. Taking the wheel off in an enclosed trailer would have been a nightmare!
