Across Pistonheads, OPC website and A***trader, excluding duplicates and wanted adverts, we now have 50 (yes, F I F T Y) cars available.
Cheapest car now at 145k with 2000 miles, 1 owner.

Can anyone recall any other Porsche model or even any other marque where there has been this magnitude of supply of a limited edition run car?

Is this the beginning of the end of the new Porsche car speculator? GT4s / 991 RS ?

I think maybe a manual version is about to be released so people getting out at a decent profit whilst they can. They've had their fun so why not. Whats dissapointing is that so many of these cars get sold to speculators rather than enthusiasts by OPCs. Its going to bite them in the behind longterm

It is an awesome car and Porsche priced it pretty nearly right ( they know their market).

The daft RHD pricing will revert to normal as the market settles down.

I expect even some die hard fans will be selling if they expect the market to correct with the increased supply.

They are great cars and will remain over list for quite some time but 50 for sale out of a UK total of 300 is a lot. There's no real reason for them to tank but there will be some downward price pressure as people will make offers well below the asking prices to see if anybody blinks. The 991 is quite new and since you have to pay £100k+ today to get a GTS or a Targa, the GT3 will stay up there but I don't see much chance of them taking off again as something newer and shinier and better will be along soon (and I don't mean the RS) and I think many people are realising that.

the 911V car has dropped another £8k a car people said they would buy !

prices will drop just as fast if a price war happens esp if RS owners want out fast of the standard one.

they were all £159k for the lowest 10 odd cars and all the same cars start at £152k with a few lower
seems the price war has started already !

give it another month and all will be listed at £149k and so it starts esp if none sell

could be £139k by the end of the summer.

As much as I would wish some return to norm for prices
I heard of an early car selling in the last couple days at a very healthy premium...pretty much at today's advertised prices

Some of them will still sell at these prices if you want one now but there's definitely plenty of supply at the moment.

I imagine most of the cars for sale will be on sale or return so the dealers have nothing to lose, I bet if you call JZM and offer them a car as an outright purchase for stock they will either not want it or the offer will be way lower than £140k.

Who knows what will happen...

What we do know is that a fair few of the cars for sale are SOR including JZM, 911 Sport and a number at OPCs too. Why not give it a try to sell at a healthy premium.

What is true is that they are fantastic cars and definitely worth a lot more than their original RRPs given their competition in the marketplace.

Once RS road tests get published, I wouldn't be surprised if GT3s are snapped up as they will be the closest thing to an RS and also available, which of course an RS will not be...

JZM I think owns 2 of his cars, the other 3 are SOR. I wouldn't be surprised therefore if the 50 or so cars on the market, 40% were owned by dealers, and 60% are SOR. Now, if you were JZM or another dealer with stock you owned, you would be happy to take on SOR cars at higher prices as it makes your own cars look better value. You can probably guess which cars they will also try to move first, hence I think you might get better deals on these than SOR cars. Anyone looking to buy one, be aware that trade prices are now well under 140k for an average specced GT3. Dealers read forums like these and they religiously track the market, and for them its too a big risk to be outright purchasing now, as this market is like catching a falling knife. With 50 cars on the market looking to find new homes, and many more coming to the market, it is very likely that prices will probably fall more than people think, in my opinion. There will be forced sellers, especially those who are about to get delivery of an RS, as many can't afford to hold or want to own both GT3 and RS variants.

Sadly this is becoming very boring
As someone who is lucky enough to have one bought new with my spec I don't care what the prices are doing
In some ways I'm pleased as it makes me more relaxed about driving it !
If you don't own one don't worry
If you do own one why would you sell. ? What else is there apart from the GT3 RS I assume

This thread is unashamedly about prices. If its boring to you, and to other 991 GT3 owners, then respectfully there is no need to post or read if it upsets you.

If you own one why would you sell you ask? That is partly the question I am asking ... and why are 50 people selling?

Is this the end of the Porsche speculator? Will the GT4 and 991 RS ultimately follow in similar manner?

I hope so, cars should not go up in Value.

As for SOR what these high end dealers want I found was crazy, like a £800 fee and then 8%
Some I spoke to when selling said they would not even talk to me at 8%

So you can see the real value of these cars trade must be £130k for a trade bid now that's list for the high end speced cars.

What screws the market up is low price Porsche list the base spec for, a £100k GT3 and a £65k GT4 is a joke.

One can only wish you could buy cars for that, a nice gt3 was £120k and a GT4 will be >k70k

This is the trouble with Porsche dealers, they only sell the 'halo' cars to speculators and their palls who want to make a fast £, and not to enthusiasts like myself who would keep the car for a few years!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry to disappoint you but I'm an enthusiast and my dealer has given me an RS slot
