I just love the look of the bucket seats, think it makes it somewhat exotic/special.

Is there any chance of a discount from any OPC?

A bit over the top to spec buckets IMO, It's not a GT car is it? smile

I much prefer the 18 way sports plus seats - for road use anyway, plus they are more comfortable to me than buckets. The GTS interior makes it special enough in my view.

Good luck with the discount! You may get a Porsche mug or something if you're lucky. It's a sellers market I'm afraid, they can sell all they are allocated over and over again so discounts won't be available. Good for our residuals though so I'm not complaining.

I love the buckets, really comfortable, and look great. I wish I'd specced them in my GTS...

I managed an umbrella and a mug....like drawing blood from stone!

Finally bit the bullet and took the 991.2 GTS 2wd Coupe slot my dealer had for June build .

So this will nicely bridge the gap between the Macan Turbo Perfomance Package they took off me today and the 991.2 GT3 which will be Nov / Dec earliest .

Spec : White , Manual ! , GTS interior , Buckets , Bose and Cruise . Nothing fancy . £102k

Macan was a great piece of kit for what it is but reminded me PDK isn't for me . GT3 will be manual .

Similar to me, I'm chopping in the macan gts for manual 991.2 gts (may built). Pdk is great but drove a the GT4 when I picked the macan up and Just been wanting a manual back ever since then.

Unfortunately didn't get a GT3 build slot so went a bit nuts on the options instead, really wanted buckets but need to be able to put the kids in from time to time so it ruled them out.

Used GT4 just a little too close in price to a new specced up GTS in price, just seems a little nuts!

I had a GT4, and have just got my 991.2 GTS, and I prefer it by quite some margin. Its better looking, faster, and has a broader range of abilities.

I wish I'd specced the folding bucket seats though. Depending on the age of your children, they'll still get in the back, and while you can't fit a child seat onto the front bucket seat, you can use a booster seat.

Thanks for opinion, good to know given you've owned both. I've got 1 year old and 2 year old so still need to car seats for a few years, I'll save the buckets for the next generation gts 👍

I had a GT4 last summer . I was tempted to jump back into one now for this summer , but the reviews of the Manual 2wd GTS were so good I thought what the hell. GT4 is a great car ( especially at list ) but you hit the 2 things I didn't quite like about it . The looks and although fantastic B road car it's not that quick . In fact the Macan Turbo PP was quicker in a straight line . ( and yes I know that's not what the GT4 is about before I get shot down :-) )

Got word that my gts will be ready to be collected next week, a couple of things I wasn't keen on in regards to factory finishes.

I have ordered night blue metallic with glass roof and tinted rear windows and was worried that it all might look a bit on the dark side, so had badging on rear painted in gt silver, this can be done in any colour at a cost of £350.Also I am having the black centre locking wheels removed and painted silver and have added chrome finish wheel centres(rather than grey) which are standard fit on the turbo s. These can be ordered separately at £205

If you are spending this amount on a new car I think it is worth asking if these things can be done, for example, they would not supply regular chrome badges on rear or supply the vehicle unbadged. I have ordered
engine cover slats painted to match body, but you can get these painted in a contrast colour, which i thought would look pretty cool, although at a cost of £1000 I decided it was not worth extra.

Will post some pics on collection to show how it turned out.

Did you have those done at the factory or at the dealer? I know painted wheels can be ordered via CXX Exclusive options at the factory but not cheap!

I'd be interested to know how much you paid to have the wheels painted wherever they were done! Would also love to see pics.

Your car sounds like it will be similar in colour scheme to my Cayenne which is midnight blue with the Turbo (I.e. Silver) wheels. Yours is somewhat nicer though!

The wheels are being painted at an independent company in Glasgow,. They offered great service including collecting wheels from dealer and delivering them back when finished, there is a new super bright silver paint finish which has just come on to the market so have asked them to go for it, even though I have not seen a sample wheel. The chrome centres should finish them off a treat, and highlight the centre lock and red brake calipers.I have seen the car in the flesh and the black wheels don't do it for me at all, Porsche themselves wouldn't paint them,I did ask even at the specccing stage, but it was a no no. The black badges just melt in to the paint if you ask me.they are OK on the lighter contrasting colours but not on blacks, greys or dark blues, it's just a gts tradition I suppose.the gt silver badges add a more bespoke feel to it and contrast well with the black tailpipes.

Got a set of number plates coming from four dot as well, they done a set for my 981 spyder and looked great, so have used them again, some of their details are nice. Will put some pics up after collection.

What's people's thoughts on Garnet Red leather on a black metallic?
If you're talking about the 100% red interior I think it's too much...the split interior with a black dash and steering wheel etc is much nicer. Also with the red dash it will reflect in the windscreen.

Thanks. Yes talking about the split two tone. Not for GTS, just looking at a couple of 991 alternates and always wondered whether red (it seems to be specced enough times) is one to worry about for trade. I think it adds some drama to be honest, but if it's a dog when you come to hand back, I'm happy to stick safe.
I think the split colour interior is a popular option and don't think it would be a problem come trade in time....if anything I would argue the opposite depending on the exterior matching of course!

Wrong steering wheel, a fair few miles and lacks the interior package, but a 991 GTS starting with a 7 is interesting:

Click 'Nav', then click 'City', and enter the full postcode.

Or, you can use maps in the Apple car play app.
