Just look at used prices of anything GTS, Boxster, Cayman or 911 and anything without GTS interior is way cheaper and sticks.

So I'd agree it's a must , certainly I wouldn't consider one without it
I'm stuffed then, having deleted all alcantara and changing to full natural espresso leather!!!

This is mine with GT silver interior painted package

Looks great but I think GT Silver is THE colour to do it with. Not so sure on other colours TBH.

That really works Earnie and was something I considered for mine especially as it's freelaugh however as I am going lava orange, I decided against it as thought it might be a bit OTT which is a shame.
The trouble with options is that they are all subjective to each individual. What I feel is important won't appeal to the next person which is the whole reason the configurator exists. I totally agree that the extra GTS package looks nice and if it was £1000 it would probably be an easier box to tick. I spoke to my dealership again today on the very same subject and he stated that it wouldn't change the trade in one bit provided overall the spec was not too bland.
Whilst I might sell it for a bit less, I paid less for it in the first place so not really much of an issue to me. I think the first £2300 leather/alcantra option does improve the inside a lot and for me I tossed between rear wheel steering or the extra GTS package and the RWS won. Ideally I would tick every box but as I haven't won the lottery, I have to tick the ones I fancy the most (aprt from Burmester which I would absolutely love. It just cannot justify the price - tell me rubbish someone please!!)

I think the whole point in buying new is to do what you like. There are plenty pre specced ones the dealers have for sale so seems a shame to follow a set route and do the same thing.

In reality the interior package should be stock or you should be able to mix and match more. No red dial etc.

Saying that I saw a black 4 gts on Saturday and with the gts interior looked nothing short of amazing!

That combo would definitely look great, black ended up my second choice.

Went for test drive plus at silverstone today in a coupe gts, was a black one Edith very little spec, hardly any options and it didn't feel special in the cabin at all. Massively missed the gts interior parks as it had neither, also basic seats.

One thing I know I'm reliant on now is the reversing camera, this didn't have it and I really struggled reversing without it, felt like I was partially blind.

Car had the -20mm pasm and was quite hard compared to the Boxster, so hoping the -10mm of the cab will be perfect.

Instructor said not to bother with pdcc, said I won't benefit from it as a daily driver and mostly doing motorway miles, so I might drop that in favour of the keyless system and radar cruise?

They have just replaced the kick plate surface after 10 years, i was there a few months ago and it was very easy to control, it's bloody difficult now, very very slippery!

Also popped into silverstone opc and saw the yellow green gts, think I'm going to stick to viper green, not quite as in your face.

I think we would all agree that for £95k+, it should have more standard options like reversing sensors etc etc but whilst we keep buying and speccing them, they never will make them standard. When you compare the price of a GTS to an R8, Maclaren, Aston etc which are all dearer, I supppose their argument will be that we can afford to add the extras to bring the cost nearer to theirs or keep it basic to keep the cost down - at least we have the choice.

If it had the GTS packs, cameras etc as standard but cost more, would we still buy it... probably

The GTS interior is a must have (it'll hurt on resale if you don't have it)
is there any data to support this? i've seen it mentioned a few times.... theres so few cars forsale/sold how doesn't anyone actually know what hurts resale?

GTS and Centerlocks are absolute must have...cars with the 5 stud wheels also stick around.
They are the 2 features that define the car IMHO

Sorry really not seeing any significant price difference between cars on sale nor any relationship between having contrasting stitching and time on sale other issues are far more relevant to that (colour etc),but it's hard as there is such variety of spec.It is a 'taste' option .I have had it on cars and not had it on cars .The must have is the extended leather, otherwise there is too much plastic in the cabin.
As has been mentioned the regular stitching is actually a slight contrast anyway.

What do people think about Guards Red? I don't see many of these around but love the fact that it's a classic Porsche colour.

Not overly subtle for a daily though...

Was at PEC Silverstone courtesy of Mayfair OPC last week driving a GTS4 Coupe and it was amazing! So much so that I'm thinking of putting a deposit down for a March delivery.

My current spec is:

Guards Red
Turbo S wheels in black
Leather interior with alcantara / GTS interior pack
Sports Bucket Seats
Park Assist (front and rear)
Privacy glass (rear and side)
PDK
Rear-axel steering
Cruise control
Auto dimming lights
Heated multi-function wheel
Sports bucket belt package painted (guards red)
Key painted
BOSE

My main area of indecision is around the gearbox. I have a manual in my M4, but the PDK was simply awesome. I'm torn between the engagement of the manual vs. the speed of the PDK... Going to try and arrange an extended test drive in both.

I have recently ordered one for delivery early next year. The car will be used for touring Europe, so I want the cooled seats. (Had a couple of cars before with them and love them), so I will be having a leather interior, not the GTS alcantara.
Came to the conclusion that at these sort of prices, (A GTS4 Conv) I may as well have what I want and not worry about the resale effects. There are so few available on the used market, I cant see any particular 'option' making a huge difference.

I honestly think think you are correct on this and unless you go green with a red interior or something, it will sell!

All sounds good to me (colour is personal preference so I won't comment there wink )
One thing that I'd consider to add is the Glass sunroof just as it adds so much light into the cabin (or you can close the canvas part if too bright) and has the benefit of making the roof partially black in doing so - imo it makes the car look more aggressive like that. I appreciate this isn't cheap at 1.5K+ but I think if it makes the car look and feel more special why not?

Although I am sure some of the purists on here churn at the thought of adding weight above your head in a drivers car - but with the poke of the engine you'd be hard pushed to feel the difference in performance.

Manual/PDK is a purely personal thing, with this engine, I'd say the PDK is more suited to the car, think m4 power - but it can actually deploy it on the road. Sports response is a cool feature with the PDK too when you want to go from driving like miss daisy to accelerating like mad max biggrindriving

Looks good. the only things i would change are as Ernie's review suggested:

1. Alcantara S/Wheel with Multifunction - for that GTS look and feel.
2. GTS Alcantara package does not especially need Carmine Red stitching & looks great without

Best pictures I have seen of Oak Green, getting excited now:

Yes, I know it's an R but I am going for the same look (minus bonnet and roof stripes).
