991 GTS Must haves

I have just managed to get a slot for a GTS Cab (it does exist), delivery early April, dealer stated this is the final run and when production restarts there will be GTS coupes only until 992 starts in Jan 2019. Being cheeky I asked for a discount and although heavily optioned no chance.
I sold my Boxster GTS to a Porsche dealer on PH within 15 minutes of advertising it was sold, give it a go and see what happens.
I will be selling the Macan the same way.
That’s interesting, well done. I was under the impression that when they came back from the factory closure that it would be the start of the 992s.I sold my Boxster GTS to a Porsche dealer on PH within 15 minutes of advertising it was sold, give it a go and see what happens.
I will be selling the Macan the same way.
I also have a Boxster gts to sell when mine arrives in March. How did you price yours on here compared to the few that are for sale on the dealer network?
I managed to get a discount on the 911, just need to catch them at the right time, but if they’re telling you it’s their last one, the ball is in their court sadly.

I've Reserved an allocation on my OPCs only GTS (2wd) slot in march for April delivery .I sold my Boxster GTS to a Porsche dealer on PH within 15 minutes of advertising it was sold, give it a go and see what happens.

I'm going down Saturday to talk numbers etc I'm also going to ask for a discount so I'll see if they budge .
I feel pretty happy that residuals are going to be strong as numbers seem pretty limited .
Def going manual gearbox but struggling to decide on colour I like crayon but I feel that GT silver will be easier to keep clean and it's £1000 cheaper

I also have a GT3 coming in Crayon. After flipping about with various codes and colour changes from Carmine to Guards and driving my OPC mad - I decided to go back to plan A and lock down the spec with Crayon. Great colour and attracts a lot of compliments.

When I sold my Boxster GTS on PH I just copied the spec into the advert added a few pictures and it sold for £2K more that the OPC had offered me within 15 minutes, bought by an OPC
My local OPC has a Boxster GTS in yellow at £59.5K and its not specced highly so I would have thought somewhere around this figure?

Value of GTS. My GT3 is due next month. If I decided to sell the GTS back to the dealer, anyone got any recent experience of what i would get on SOR or just plain chop-in. It’s 2017, 991.2 with decent spec, cost £107k new in March this year. It’s done 6,000 miles.
Dealer told me values are very strong, production for all 911's is turned down now and ends in May 2018 with a restart in September, the 991.2 will cease not long after that. It's especially bad this year due to some sort of exhaust emissions modification they are having to adopt. The dealer told me he had to pay full list price for a 3 month old GTS cab and would be asking 15k above that. Used GTS's are Gold right now. So it could be that you may get your 107k back, good luck.I can say with absolute confidence that no OPC is paying over list for a GTS, nor are they selling them for £15k over list.
Absolute twoddle.

Hello from Byron Bay Australia,
I've been following PH since I specced and ordered my GTS coupe several months ago. Our lead times are considerably longer than yours, not to mention the exorbitant prices we must pay for, although granted, a much higher std spec than you get in the UK, but still @ A$300k plus for std spec it is very expensive. Mainly due to our stupid "Luxury Car Tax"....
Anyway, my car was finally delivered this week and I am absolutely in love with it. I've had several Porsche's including Boxster S, Cayenne S and my last was a 997.2 C4s Cab PDK which was great but after 9 years of ownership, I was craving a change.
My spec is PJQ2GZ67
Includes:
GTS Coupe
RWD
Manual
GT Silver
Full Glass Roof
18way Seats
Light Design Pack
Heated M/F Steering Wheel
GTS Interior Pack 1 (Red Stitch)
GTS Interior Pack 2
Delete Rear Wiper
Smoking Package (don't smoke but finishes off console nicely)
Door Sills in Carbon
NB. Bose, Rear View Camera, F&R Sensors, Auto Dimming Mirrors, Rain Sensor, etc are all standard on Aus spec cars.
I was concerned about moving from N/A 997.2 to Turbo 991.2 engine but after only 800kms, I can honestly say I don't miss the N/A sound or feel at all. And that's with not yet punching the car beyond 4k revs. That will happen on tomorrow's drive
The GTS feels considerably more dynamic than my C4s Cab with weight no doubt being a clear factor along with longer wheelbase and 30% more torque. I wanted a more involving and traditional spec, thus RWD, manual, coupe and it has not disappointed at all; quite the opposite. The 7 speed box is tremendous and once you get used to that 7th gate, in and out becomes second nature. A much more involving drive than my 997.2 PDK.
Thanks to comments on PH (and I've read all of them from page one till now) I've purchased front grill's from Zunsport (look great) and the Lid Liner from the US. Additionally, I've the car fully wrapped in PPF - this is a must on Aus roads and have had it done on other cars.
Here's some pic's of my car from the showroom,
cheers

Well done in your gt3 allocation. You going for red or silver contrast stitching?I also have a GT3 coming in Crayon. When you say the Porsche dealer is offering g techniq products is that the crystal serum pro ceramic coating?
Here’s the code if you want to check it out. PJXQLR17
Not actually 100% but I presume the G Techniq is the ceramic coating. It was a strong sales pitch - like the one you get for shoe protection when purchasing new shoes.
I just wanted to keep my OPC happy as they gave me a GT3 allocation.
It does seem a lot better than I expected. (not the cheapest - about £600+ ) but going to get it done on the GT3 also.
Nice spec on the GTSilver one, it’s nice to see another 2WD manual coupe, mine is due mid to late March.
Nice video attached it’s worth 24 mins

I spoke to my OPC yesterday, and a "light" enquiry of my 991.2 manual GTS came up. i have only had it since June. Love the car, but one question is on my mind.
If production is stopping for 6 months, what on earth are the OPC's going to sell, also if they offer you silly money for your car, it is all well and good but what would you replace it with?
Seems an odd time to rebuild your factory, unless they have built plenty of stock cars.
