Off topic but looking at reports of new gen 2 orders coming in and wondering if anyone considered the new graphite blue. Seen a few on here but not a popular choice??
Graphite Blue is a lovely colour and I would definitely have one again. Changed in different lights from grey to blue and always had positive comments from people.Hi, slightly off topic again but I have a quick question about gap insurance. I collect my GTS on March 1st and have insured the car through NFU mutual (brilliant btw) which includes a 2 year vehicle replacement should the worst happen. Would I be wasting my money if I was to take out gap as well? I don't see the point now, but some of you might tell me otherwise?

I am collecting my GTS on the 2nd and am wondering myself if GAP is wise, my OPC quoted for GAP through Porsche but it's a little pricey. As I understand it, this would essentially mean your invoice total is what's insuredthistimenextyear said:

Shop around you dont have to get it through porsche - also check with your insurer as quite a few policies dictate if youre the first owner and have a total loss you get the original invoice price back anyway.I would say at any higher levels GAP is worthwile imo, but it really depends on whether you think the cost over your motoring life is too exorbitant or not I guess - its only to cater for worst case scenarios.
Some policies have GAP included....mine with Aviva does. Policy on it's own was more expensive than some of the cheaper companies but the terms of the policy were much better.....has GAP if you buy a new car or agreed value on cars that have appreciated in value since you bought it etc. So when I included the cost of GAP it was much cheaper. Also pays out on full list price including options....not all insurance companies do. Admiral for instance ask you to list all the optional extras but certainly only used to cover the replacement cost of a completely standard car. When I bought a new X5 years ago with £15k of options on it I moved insurer...
Thank you for the NFU recommendation above - I have just had a very reasonable quotation from them. NFU essentially offer a 'return to invoice' within 2 years should the worst happen. They will either replace the car with a new one (if available) or refund your invoice total.
The grey area perhaps is what Cheib noted above - will the insurer pay list price or list price including options. I will clarify this with NFU just to be sure...

Just had this confirmed by NFU, it is return to invoice with proof of invoice. Full invoice cost inc options etcThe grey area perhaps is what Cheib noted above - will the insurer pay list price or list price including options. I will clarify this with NFU just to be sure...
Nice to know but hopefully never needed
Roll on next Friday - it can't come soon enough!

Question: For those which have their GTS run in. Have you, or do you often use the Sport Response nutbag button?
I use "Sport" all the time. Rarely use "Sport Plus".Have only hit the 20sec overboost "response" button a handful of times, the whole experience and gearshifts are fairly savage! Useful for overtaking...
I am expecting mine 10 March, rang Admiral today and mine is £180 from 10 March until the 31 Dec when multicar policy up.
£250 vol excess plus the £350 compulsory one, 5000 Miles sdp + commute. No points but flood claim in 2014 and only 2 years NCB.
Have a company car too for everything driving.
Three cars, my Boxster Spyder, wifeys Q3 plus new GTS on Multicar for less than my 6 series was per year including business miles.
I was going to try NFU but frankly thought it was such a good deal didn’t bother.

That is very reasonable are you in a very good area? Mine quote was based on 8000 Miles p/a and similar excess in Derbyshire
