Over 10,000 miles in my GTS Cab and have never used the axle lift.
Use mine every week as it takes the worry of speed humps and steep drives away

Hi Joel

I went Carmine red coupe 2wd manual, but I also love GT Silver as well.

I went a very skinny spec on mine as I was going back to basics Carrera T but changed to GTS as the lure of extra 80bhp for £10k was just too much.

I didn’t go front axle lift and have had no issues at all in 3000 + miles, my 987.2 Spyder does scrape often in comparison.

I didn’t want RWS as I wanted it to feel like a rear engined car (for better or worse), if I didn’t have a mid-engined one I would though, it is fab and makes it very agile.

I really wouldn’t want a sunroof, I have a convertible so why would I.

I stuck with the standard seats which are great.

Spec are very personal mine is on Pj8lnac5 as I said super skinny... l so if you have chosen yours great enjoyyour car when it arrives.

Cheers
Ed

Hi everyone,

I'm planning on pulling the trigger on one of the last ever 991 GTSs to be built before the 992 comes out. I don't like the look of the 992 at all so thought I would treat myself to my first-ever new 911 after 10 years or so of Porsches. (928 x3, 964, 944T, Boxster Spyder, 993RS etc etc)

This thread has been a great help - here's my spec. What do you think?

I'm not sure about the glass roof, as it spoils the roofline, but the non glass roof is worse than useless so it's this or nothing. Also is the speed limit thing worth having?

Cheers!

good colour choice - It's all personal preference but I really would question the leather covered air vents...
Id switch it for the sport design rear spoiler thing...

The only thing Id consider is the PDLS LED lights in black as they are rather good but have a hefty price tag with them...

If you can get a RWD manual GTS fair play!

The poster above was half right... I can only have PDK but I have been told I have a slot for a 2 GTS PDK Coupe (cab if I want one, but I think a coupe rather than a cab).

Also been told I have 2/3 weeks to spec it so whilst I thought I had 95% got there... everything is now up in the air.

Today's thought is non-sunroof Crayon

Hi, when I ordered mine back in August, was told only GTS/PDK/4 wheel drive and limited colours available in Coupe or Targa. Went for C4 in Black arriving in Dec.
Good luck with what you decide to go with.

Just confirmed with OPC, I am getting the last 2wd GTS coupe.

this is my latest spec but it's changing daily and I have 2 weeks before lock down. Can't concentrate on work at all!

Looks very nice... reversing camera?

I like them with no sunroof, I didn't have one either, looks much cleaner.

Reversing camera (in a car with decent visibility) is up there with 'keyless go' as the answer to a question that no one was asking, so I'll pass. Don't see what it adds to a beep. Reversing camera from above, so you can judge the space left, would be useful, but again not needed in a 911

I’d think again about the extra leather bits and pieces as you’ve already picked both the nterior packages (Alcantara and Gts), I like what they bring so adding leather seems overkill, I like the sunroof as it provides black contrast to body colour especially chalk or silver, white etc

First gts had no camera 2nd does have, I’d tick it again has saved me quite a few times , pass on speed display it’s on map anyway and apps as required. Lift not required unless specific daily issue re clearance I drive over speed humps no issues

Is there a specific need for 18 ways sports seats plus? Regards be got 4 way sports seats plus and close to best seats for be ever had in any car. The ability to quickly manually move seat back and forward is handy, auto fore and aft a bit ponderous

My experience of pccb isn’t great but that’s a whole issue on its own,

Well my thought there was that the memory button is nice for when my wife wants to use it, and to get memory with a GTS interior you need the 18-ways, as you can't have 14-ways with GTS alcantara package. Cheeky but there it is. So effectively seat memory like we have on the Tiguan costs £2k!

Reversing camera, I had front and rear sensors on a Macan did not stop me reversing into an Oak post in a garden centre, crushed the rear valance £1,500.

I now have a rear camera on the 911 GTS also have the leather around the steering column with the stitching finishes it off nicely..

I’d bin the Light Design Package....have it on my GT3, makes virtually no difference....much less than on a Macan or Cayenne.

Very similar to mine - Crayon is the most epic colour as long as there’s lots of black to contrast with it - I absolutly love it - the more I live with it the more I like it . Funny colour though in as much as it’s very sensitive to car shape - looks great on a 911 coupe - less good IMHO on other Porsche’s. Also it’s impossible to photograph accurately - always looks crap in photos.

Enjoy smile

Reversing camera is a must, bring able to see what’s potentially going to hit the rear of the car well before it does and also judging how close to get to rear curbs.

When I get in a car without it now I literally panic when reverse packing it’s that useful, especially as I always reverse park.

Rear spoiler sets the rear off nicely too.

The 18 way seats are perfect.

Leather air vents are pointless imo.

I use front lift every day, guess it depends where you live........

And of course the dealer are going to tell you you’re getting the last rwd wink

Amazing car though.

+ 1 Crayon is stunning in the flesh but whenever I take photos of mine it appears beige which it absolutely is not! Very strange!
