just drive the damn thing not just you everyone else who has one and posts about values and how great their spec is,it's boring.
I also think it is quite dull but facts are facts at the end of the day and people love a chat about specs and values it seems !Sadly with winter almost upon us a lot of cars will be Sorned. Probably will take mine off the road for a few months too as I don't want the hassle of putting winter tyres on. So values is the only thing left to talk about then. Bloody depressing!

I actually started a thread about driving our GT3s but it seems to have died. So it's clear what interests most of us.

It’s an interesting point re SORN and taking cars off the road unless equipped with winters. Sadly with winter almost upon us a lot of cars will be Sorned. There can be some beautiful, dry days in the winter. Also, you get to the edge of the handling envelope much earlier on greasy roads whilst wearing Cup 2 tyres. I’m not suggesting one should drive like a loon, but feeling the steering lighten and knowing the car is responding to your inputs as opposed to being far more capable than you can handle can be fun.
It is of course each to their own and a GT3 is probably a third car, but for me still a car and fun to have on tap everyday of the year, just in case.

Agree with you in the main. I've already had a few moments in the wet when I wasn't even trying. One of them was quite dramatic. I haven't experienced such wet weather slides since possibly since my old E21 BMW 323i. Didn't take anything at all for that to lose its back end. Difference now is the GT3 is a 150k car and not sure I want to risk it. Maybe I'm just getting old...There can be some beautiful, dry days in the winter. Having said that, lovely dry day today and took the GT3 out. Just can't imagine not hearing that engine for 3 months. So maybe I won't Sorn it afterall!!!

Beautiful day here too had a great 75 mile drive on some favourite B roads. Reckon there's a couple of weeks left for proper GT3 driving in earnest so make the most of it as generally after the end of November once we get sub 7 degree temps and the roads are damp and slimey with the salt the standard cup 2s do not inspire confidence and imo you are better off driving something less hardcore less involving and potent.Edited by browngt3 on Saturday 17th November 19:23
It certainly is an extraordinary car.
I think to the casual observer and the, actively looking buyer, alike, prices are coming down - Surely that cannot be refuted...
From the top down, even the most disconnected sellers have decided that their prices are a bit, 'pie in the sky', however there is always the one in a thousand buyer ( an estate agency term, i believe), that will pay more than most others, and yes (agreed) they will likely take a 'better' specced car....
I only need to draw your attention to the (little discussed) reducing asking prices of the 991.2 RS, which are (without wanting to sound too much of a drama queen), almost cascading, to illustrate the obvious impact it has on the prices .2 GT3. This is plainly what we are seeing, with as many predicted, now (almost ?) more cars in the 140's than the 150's. We know people make offers and they get accepted, so for that reason , when someone claims to have boiught at £129k, its not wholly incredible, to the reasonable man...

Just an update.
My deal is done and the car will be delivered to me by covered truck on Friday.
I have paid £129250 for it and they are not charging extra for the delivery. It seems that for once not getting an allocation and paying full list price for it has worked in my favour. I intend to do around 6k per year in it over the next 2 years and fully expect to lose around 15k per year. All quite normal at this price point I would say.
When the car is delivered I will post photos and the full spec.
What happened to the photos he promised to post..?My deal is done and the car will be delivered to me by covered truck on Friday.

Another load of bks £129950 would mean the owner took close to £120k, why would anyone sell a .2 at tbat level!
Its possible he hit on a GT3 owner who was transported from 2008 totally oblivious to the current 'overs' GT3 market..Failing that i see no other plausible scenario why anyone with an ounce of sense would sell his 900mile Manual GT3 for £15K less than what he paid for it !I mentioned this to my OPC SA a couple of weeks ago and he wanted the contact details to buy said car..
Not only do we not have a picture of the truck arriving with lots of smiley excited faces we also have no details about the spec or first drive etc.
In fact we have not even had one single post since the said report of the said pipe dream !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He was also buying a Cayenne Turbo as well. The £129000 could well have been part of a deal...
Its really quite possible... I've been very fortunate to be in the right place at the right time a few times and that includes the purchasing of a brand new GT* car at list from a non local to me Porsche dealer as the customer decided that they didn't want it. I had no buying history and was in the showroom having a browse.

Well I can’t find a bargain! Where are the low miles non peasant-spec cars at less that 20k overs?
Eh. Where are you looking??What do you call low miles? I wouldn't pay a daft premium for a 500 mile car over a 5000 mile car personally.. but each to their own.
Mayfair have a big spec 4000 mile car - you couldn't want anything else on it! List approx £134k. Asking £149K. I think you could be cheeky and offer £140-145k.
If serious you need to get on the phone with credit card in hand and start a conversation.
I’ll have a good look over next few weeks. Cash is waiting!
