Anyone opting for Carmine? I was in the Chiswick dealership dropping off the car for service and they had the Boxter S in Carmine...and it is a glorious colour in person.

I've got 4 PEC invites to use up. Think I might find my tent and go and camp there for a few days!
I had another land in my in box this morning....think I am going to schedule it once I know there's a GT3 there.

Carmine is stunning. Spotted it on a 991 GTS & looks superb; however I do prefer GT cars to have classic GT colours.

This year all gone and smaller allocation next year which I am also unlikely to feature in.......Unless Sir would like to buy a Cayenne and maybe a Turbo S which will improve your chances.
That's is exactly what I did and guess what...got an allocation wink

Congratulations, well done. Unfortunately I do not need or want a Cayenne, a Turbo S I could be tempted by in a couple of years but do not want to buy one now just to own for a few months and then hope to get a GT3. Even if I did as they asked there is no guarantee of a car, other people I know have bought far more than that and failed to get an allocation. I am sure there will be plenty of low mileage cars available in a few months rolleyes

Struggling to decide on wheel finish... would like to see the standard silver rims next to the satin aluminium ones.

Reading all of these threads brings the term Porsche dealership fellatio to mind..... the hoops people have to get through to get an allocation, it's madness imo! But hopefully worth the enjoyment for those hell-bent on getting a car.

Its a difficult one as the Gen 1 only came with Platinum so there is nothing to see on Google Images! If you look at a 997.2 GT3 in white with silver wheels it looks great.

I love the wheel design on the 991 so its only right that time is taken to decide! I've long been a fan of platinum though.

Carmine Red is a classy looking colour. Personally I'm not sure it's a GT3 colour though.

That's my final decision, standard wheels or the satin aluminium.

Its standard at the moment as think hard to justify the extra £700 odd for aluminium when only slightly brighter, and not been able to see both options together.

Now I've heard of a 'Phoofin' being referred to as something entirely different!

Embargo for reviews of the 991.2 GT3 lifts at 00:00 Central European Time tomorrow, April 27th. Word from my cleaning lady is: "ha! It's awesome! Engine is unbelievable. The biggest change. Can't believe how angry it is. Chassis better ride, better turn-in. It's a bigger step than I expected. But it is quite hardcore - pretty noisy on the road with that racecar engine." Just over 24hrs to go guys.
