Hi there,

I am thinking the same Miami blue, full buckets, satin black wheels , Black LEDS, black door handle with mirror base. I am doing steel brakes, Choosing PCCB in Australia will cost me $21,000 which i won't be doing. So red callipers. Do you think colours will clash if i get red stitching interior with red seat belt and red marker on the steering wheel?

or i do your configuration with silver seat belt, silver stitching, white dials and not worry about red brake callipers ?

Did you see the pics earlier in this thread with black door handles? Whilst I "get" the black mirror base I would never go for the black door handles. But everybody to their own wink
I agree, most manufacturers would charge you to paint the door handles and use that to differentiate between lesser and top range models. Strange how Porsche are trying to get us to think the opposite way. I agree it could work with certain colours, and look different but will probably look different rather than better.
Sorry guys if i caused trouble with the black door handle. I wasnt keen initially but saw a picture of miami blue at a dealer in Italy with black handles and carbon mirrors and it looked good

My dellima is not the handle thats's very easy to delete. My problem is matching red stiching and red seat belt with miami blue. is it a clash of colours ? or is it better to choose silver stiching , silver seat belts and don't worry about matching red seat belt with red calipers.

I am very keen on the red marker on the stearing wheel which is pushing me to favour the red stisching interior as well

Thank you

Specifications and colours are extremely personal, but for me I think the Red seatbelt trim with Miami blue is overkill and would look a little odd. It wouldnt be my choice. I would go with silver seatbelts and the more neutral sliver/black combo interior. However I appreciate how agonizing getting the spec right is. I had sleepless nights over going for yellow or silver seatbelts...in the end I chose silver...and even more over the interior dash trim (carbon, brushed ali or leather) and in the end went leather so the inside of my car might end up looking like a black coal hole!

Its all personal taste !

Just avoid "Miami blue " altogether imo ;-)

but silver stitching and red belts is fine, no need for red stitching.
In the past you could never choose stitching colour but can always have red belts, and that will match the calipers and steering wheel stripe.

I am going silver stitching with coloured belts and it's £800 cheaper :-)

We're all in the same boat regarding trying to get the perfect spec to everybody's different tastes..My GT3 will be fully built and inspected by October 5 and lockdown isn't until beginning of Sept so no need to panic just yet..!.With miami and red calipers i personally would go silver stitch and belts however i see no reason not to go with red inside as long as the brakes are red also. Its all personal at the end of the day..
Having said that i went silver stitching and red belts on my GT4 which worked fine and i've got red stitching and red belts on my new GT silver GTS which also works fine. What i don't like is too much red as in Guards red paint, red brakes, red stitching, red belts, red steering wheel marker and red harnesses..The new GT3 needs a vivid exterior colour imo such as blues, reds, yellow or lava and if going with a safe neutral colour then needs bright contrast somewhere imho.

I've pretty much decided on CWM / PCCB's / Silver stitching with club sport adding the passenger side belts for extra red and red marker on the wheel.
Not sure about red or silver seat belts on this combo, might be too much? They're black at the moment.

What do you reckon?

I think it will look amazing in CWM..The good thing with this colour is you can go with any wheel colour choice you fancy as it will contrast nicely with all of them.Regarding belt colours have you considered silver ones to match the stitching and check if the red harnesses are the same red as the belts..I know you prefer platinum wheels but have you considered the satin aluminium ones as they they really make the wheel design pop imo.

So who's getting a car first then ?!?! With these pics of cars on Instagram etc looking like they're coming from deliveries to European dealers presumably someone must be getting a car in the next month or so ?!

I love CMW but it will be very hard to match if you get a scratch on it :-( as is any metallic colour, they stick out a mile on paint repairs.

red belts go great with white cars or yellow belts if you go PCCB.

mine will be standard white with PCCB, silver stitching and yellow belts+ carbon , no cage, ie R spec. bit like this RS but no cage.

yellow belts look trick on a white car imo esp with PCCB. just means no steering wheel stripe.

if CS it's best to go after market harness and not option the passenger harness. they do nice black harness belts with yellow detail.

I guess it depends if you fit the harness as many people seem not to and just want the cage, again I would want the cage out and power coated in white ;-)

white cage looks cool imo

It looks like Crayon but I'd say of all the colours I reckon it's the one you absolutely have to see in the metal. In that pic it looks much more Grey than I think it does in the metal

Gentsss,

I was after a Porsche GT4 in Agate grey until the Gt3 991.2 was whispered to also come with a manual gearbox option.
I had to have it.

After being a massive pain, a begger, a bully amongst other things I managed to get a slot for a new GT3.
Not only being my first GT3, but my first 911 and my first brand new car.

Car will be delivered in Switzerland - Mind you base car price here is 150,000GBP!

I have already put a provisional order for the car (commiting a downpayment of 20k).

For me the following is very clear:
MANUAL
918 SEATS
CLUB SPORT
CARBON
BOSE
LEDs

What is very unclear and I need your help:
LIFT - Will it be needed or its extra kg?
COLOR (Was going for the Agate grey - I do think its a great color and I do think it ages the cars very well - look at 930 - 964 cars in Grey color)
Why is no one even considering it?

I also have to say that even though I would never buy Yellow or Red cars, they both look awesome.
The car was presented with the Carmine red or the Guards red? I am getting confused. I like the Carmine Red...

I was/am also considering the Crayon... I love the sport classic color (a little blue/purple) but from the pics I am not really getting excited with the Crayon. My local dealer should have one soon and I will go and check it out. If I am not too sure about the Crayon maybe I should go for white? If so which white!? Grrrrr

Wheels no matter what got to be platinum (unless I went for yellow which I don't have the b@lls for that would have to be black.

Can't wait!

congrats, adgate grey looks like dirty brown to me ;-) that's prob why lol all the nice greys are PTS if you want greyish GT silver is nicer.

hence why some go brown roof to match the Adgate colour ;-p

colour is all personal though if you like brown go for it.

Yes changing the belts is an option but a bit of a faff and I was thinking to use the harnesses as against not having them fitted for a bit of theatre if anything else. If I wasn't going to use the harnesses then yes, perhaps silver belts which goes with the stitching and silver seat stripe. i think red belts with the red harnesses is too much. Sometimes less is more and we all know how easy it is to get carried away with the configurator. I'm not too bothered about marks as I'm having most of it wrapped anyway.

yes red on red is too much if you plan to have both red harness installed with red belts.
a bit too much here !

door dinks are the pitter, I only PPF the front bumper and lower sills £800 ish, as a full PPF is £5k !

I see many Porkers at shows with unmatched metallic paint repairs, it puts me off metallic these days as no one cares in carparks or anywhere :-(.

I would go CMW with yellow belts and black harness for sure, it's a sweet look and will not be as common and you get to have yellow normal belts to match the PCCB's.

this is as close as I can find yellow belts with black harness = a nice look :-) and no hassle as the belts are dealer fit any way, just drop off the black ones.

Yeah nice but I'm not a fan of yellow in the interior. I'd be more likely to go grey belts if anything which goes well with the red and matches the stitching.
Just wanted some colour in there somewhere without it being overbearing.

How much are a pair of Schroth harnesses (both sides) to buy / cheapest place?

Yes, me as well. So GT Silver, satin alu wheels, PCCB etc. However question is, do you get the Porsche script down the sides or not? I have mine booked into Topaz for full PPF as soon as it arrives in the UK so if I was to get the script it would have to be done before PPF...still in two minds about getting it, could be trying too hard on the GT3...

I think the side decals will look great on the GT3...I think they can be accused of "trying too hard" on a Carrera/S but on the markedly more aggressive GT3 look good!

Agreed, side decal yes, however, bonnet stripes no.
