Nice. Might be the lighting but that looks like Carmine. Like it!
I'm taking it in that colour, hope it's as good in the metal!
Going to lose the red rims now.

Love guards red but have gone with carmine.

I've spec'd full bucket seats but am also going to try some next week. Hopefully they are similar to 997.2 RS buckets which are great.
I'm not sure I'll ever make my mind up regarding body colour....my new 991.1 GT3 was Agate grey, I then sold it and bought a used one with PCCB in Guards red - looked fantastic, but want a change - Crayon and Carmine red are strong contenders....

What is for certain is Clubsport pack, '918' full bucket seats, PCCB, front lift, and PDK....

...oh, and silver wheels, and black door handles....

If mine arrives my favourite current spec is guards red, silver wheels, clubsport and PDK because they're all free of charge which appeals to my Cardi money mentality..Options would be 918 buckets and Pccbs which i love on my GT4,probably front lift,Pdls bi-xenoms,full leather in silver stitching(free..!),red belts and steering wheel marker. Carbon trim at £500 is good value imo. Debating whether or not to spec Bose and chrono pack...

Not keen on crayon I'm afraid! But carmine looks fantastic and never had a red car. Black handles for mine too and under the mirrors.

My spec is looking like GT Silver, PCCB, platinum wheels, full leather, yellow seat belts, chrono, 918 buckets, front lift, reversing camera and smoking package.

If possible would like to delete the awful stripe down the seats and dealer is trying to convince me to go CS but I'm still unsure on that.

Why not go Clubsport and have the cage removed?

Great spec.

This is virtually my spec apart from Spyder buckets, steel brakes and smooth leather. Thought about going white again but GT silver is good value at the same cost as normal metallics.

May yet go manual but it depends how many and exactly when they start production. People are talking cars being ready for September but this looks too early imo, especially after the August shutdown.

Only other thing would be maybe deleting red belts.....possibly with the red stitching and red harnesses it may be a bit 'too red'.

Reckon GT silver could well be as popular as white was on the gen 1.

Probably running on winter tyres...for some reason they sell the winter wheel and tyre sets for the GT3 as Turbo S wheels.

I got saw an "internal Porsche communication" a couple of days ago saying Manual production starts in Sep with PDK two months earlier

Great spec! Smoking Pack is cheap and puts a cover on that cubby hole behind the PDK lever.

Like the extra black touches on the exterior....that's what I'll be doing to if/when I get the thumbs up whistle

I do agree that all red might be a bit OTT. I have been contemplating the silver interior then adding the red belts and red 12 o'clock marker.

Whatever you do it's going to look sodding fantastic. First world problem!

Won't be tracking the car but I'd have thought PCCB's would/should be part of the overall package?

You got me thinking about the red belts!!!!!!good point made smile

Smoker lid is in but didn't mention it

Looks to me that one of the big problems is going to be getting the interior right--and yes a "first world problem"!

Mines also purely a road car and apart from the much discussed pros and cons of ceramics v steels I have been dissuaded by the horrific cost of replacement (£5k ish) per rota following damage to several steel discs over the years caused by stones becoming wedged between the caliper and disc. I find this also affects Caymans.

Imo there is no difference whatsoever in braking performance and apart from an obvious reduction in unsprung weight, absence of brake dust and no corrosion with ceramics the other obvious aspect is would a ceramic braked GT3 be worth proportionately more relative to a steel braked car?

Am aware the OP doesn t want a values thread again but this bit is relevant!

A ceramic gen 1 car at say £130 k is generally worth the cost of this option over a steels car and it could be argued this would be even more pronounced on the gen2 which will essentially provide 991 RS performance......and a 991 RS without ceramics is bad news being worth up to c £17k less than a ceramic car at a £200k price point.

I have always taken the view that to date GT Porsche have steels and GTRS Porsche have ceramics....but this Gen 2 could well have moved the goal posts.

Cue sleepless nights! biggrin:
