Finally the time came to collect my car up.

First impressions are what you would expect. For some reason I am really surprised that is still has the character of a 996 or 997 GT3 which I thought might have been lost now that the car is bigger and more refined but thankfully those mechanical noises remain.

Are those Satin Platinum wheels ?
Yes they are.
Great, my car is GR with Plat wheels and is getting cobbled together now woohoo and delivery Oct

Got a call from Vodafone Tracker asking if everything is OK following my airbag deployment today. eek

First off, I checked with the guys who have my car finishing the detail and PPF and all was OK. Later, it turns out its a known fault with the PTS. Anyone had it or knows of the fix?

I look like a middle aged man with a dad bod in my Voodoo GT4 and imagine I’d look much the same in a Voodoo GT3, fingers crossed I get to find out next year.

I was at the Frankfurt Motor Show yesterday and managed to get to sit in the GT3 Touring and the GT2RS along with some other rather nice cars. The crowds were unbelievable so didn't manage to get great quality pictures.

My impressions of the Touring are that it will be a marmite car, you will either love the under the radar looks and the less in your face raw aggression of the normal GT3 or you will feel that it is not quite a GT3 without the wing and racing looks. Colours will definitely change depending on which choice you make as I don't think Yellow, MIami Blue or Lave Orange go with the Touring version. I'm also not a fan of the chrome side windows after seeing them as it also gives chrome tailpipes and headlight washers. Finally, I'm not sure about the rear seat area without the GT3 logos as it looks bare and as though something is missing.

The LWBS are awesome and I sit perfectly in them (I'm 6ft and of a larger build) and the interior cloth seat inserts look better in the flesh than on a picture as the fine houndstooth material doesn't photograph very well.

As for the GT2RS I cannot find anything at all negative about it lick

I think the GT3 touring badge is really tacky, like a stuck-on after-thought. That said, the touring is most definitely not for me anyway.

I agree - I would advise anybody against going for the Touring Pack. Definitely. smile

I think he should post a pic of the car in his garage now after it's finished being detailed
