Started looking for one of these but got quickly overwhelmed by the array of options. Which one do you have?
This one:

(for no other reason than it was on offer at the time)

Where is the OBD port?

Near side under dash / glovebox. But from memory of using my code reader it's only live when the ignition is on.

It will be interesting to see how much the Aerokit C4 in the link below goes for (even with a very short cited history)? It's got a colourful MOT history as well it appears.

As a dealer they can't sell it without a warranty which could be interesting!

E-Gas and 4 wheel drive will hurt it as well. Very pretty car though?

If you're going to be like that then you may as well mentioned, sharing components with Boxster, headlamps, IMS, RMS, cracked heads...

A 911 at that price, what else comes close?

Not early, but have we had this yet?

Nicked from the Maserati 3200 GT Thread (labelled as "fairly ordinary" compared to the Maser according to Matt Bird):

I know a lot of you beg to differ, but I really like those Carrera III wheels on this 996!

Right, and I think I told you before that I like them.
I'm still waiting for your Reader's Cars Thread, btw :-)

Used the charger on a 3.4 (2000) and 3.6 (2003) car..... definately worked on both.

it looks good in the pics..... but the dealer trying to flog it off as a 'trade' sale is enough to be wary of !

that service history too !!

Look at the gold coloured badges! They would only be beaten by a gold coloured GT3 badge on the engine cover scratchchin

Radio reception- mine was great, is now rubbish.

When you are near to a transmitter you can get a good signal, which means that I'm limited to local rather than national radio.

I suspect this means that the antenna amplifier has decided to take a bit of a break - is this a reasonable conclusion? Anything else I should check/fix/replace?

It's pretty horrifying being able to get Radio Leicester but not Radio 4. Help!

If anyone is interested in a private plate for their 911 -

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Porsche-996-911-9-ELEVEN...

I also have a CDR-22 (OE Porsche) available as mine had an aftermarket Alpine unit in it when I bought it.

Thanks, Stuart.

The eBay car above fetched £12,101 with limited reported service history.
