Looks like a toy next to even medium sized modern stuff.
That's a fiesta on the left. I'm classing that as a small car. Surely a focus would be medium?

I thought it was a focus (on my phone). Ridiculous how big cars have got nowadays.

Snap.
I've been working away quite a bit, but am in the UK office today so treated the 996 to an outing. Popped it onto the ctek yesterday to give the battery a boost. All working well but it desperately needs a wash.

And a MiTo the other side which is also regarded a small car. Looks like an Aldi Q7 next to the 996.

I guess that's something like a Hyundai Santa Fe.

Magnus Walker has just bought a 996.2 C2 with 145,000 on the clock all for a bargain $5000. I know he already has a relatively standard 996.2 GT3 so Interested to see if he gives this new car the Urban Outlaw treatment

Would be tempted by that if I was looking. Highish miles but still looks good value for a rare colour kitted car.

Looks right that and a bit of a bargain.

Stop thinking of reasons not to buy it and get it bought.

I was thinking this, he's gone for the capitulation headlights rather than the evolutionary ones that trace a clear line from the 70's cars, through the 964 and the 993 to the 996. Seems a big miss.

Maybe he deliberately wanted to buy the most unloved 996. $5000 sounds like a screaming bargain.

After a few years of lining up the move I finally managed to land a nice early 996 too:

1998 90k (miles) 3.4 Carrera 2 in Ocean Blue Metallic with the Metropol Blue interior. Extensive specialist history in the UK and Ireland.

Not a whole lot of options bar aircon, OBC and sunroof. No traction or stability, just a straightforward drivers car. This thread was a great help in helping me narrow my choice down to the very early amber/cable throttle cars.

Whatever you paid for that it should turn out to be a wise choice if you keep it for a while, and in the meantime you have a great drivers car to enjoy - congrats thumbup

Thanks. Matt at Porschacare sourced them for me.
They're 18s. Need to check to remind myself of width/offset but they take a standard tyre.
