You do have a particular weakness for GR! Non-sunroof as well smile

Thanks chaps.
I'll keep whoring out pics of the old girl in every related thread until I start a reader's cars thread of my own!
She isn't perfect but will be once I find some more disposable income from somewhere.

Would you be OK to pm me the details of the car North of Aberdeen?

That's assuming you've decided you're not going for it of course.

Despite my moaning earlier I haven't given up just yet ha ha. However if I pass on it I will let you know and pm the extra info I have been given by the vendor smile

Last pic of my car before it gets "ambered".... (and washed, before anyone mentions it)

Had a quiet pootle round the back roads this evening - only the occasional foray above 6k rpm smile

I think any 20 year old car will need ongoing maintenance. Find one that's had a chunk done recently, expect to follow up with a few bits and bobs, then make sure you stay on top with essential maintenance plus discretionary spend every year to get the car exactly how you want it.
Two years is a long time and a lot of effort to find a perfect car when you could be using a 90%er and planning upgrades. The cost differential would be tiny too.
I agree with you. Your not buying a new car and turning down an honest example for the odd scrape and missed service 10 years ago is madness. There are some rough examples going about, but you can filter the rubbish with some photos of key areas and recent service history. Ask for photos of the bills.

I wish I'd been able to find one for sale in Aberdeen when I was looking, had to get mine from Manchester... Then my boss advertised his way too cheap when I'd already bought mine!

Are those original 17" alloys? It sits well on them, I normally say it needs the 18" turbo twists but for some reason yours looks good on the 17" maybe the dark colours but I agree with amber & 17" it will look so classic cool

Did the early cars have the secondary air pump located on the left hand side? Mine doesn't have one. Just wondering if a PO has removed it or it never had one..

...I quite fancy a set of the sports classics to use as a change... smile

There is a thread on here with a blue / Amber car and it looks great.

My car was factory ordered with clears for some reason. I reckon it has cost me ~£500 for all the lights. You can get them a bit cheaper but lots are in pretty poor condition.

Ok so I guess they didn't all have it. Good really as it's a bit pointless.

My ambers were £345 in total for the full set.
