what is an 'early' 3.4 996?
Discussion
Bottom ends are together, waiting for the billet tappet chests - we've ordered 10 of the dual-stage scavenge pumps as we thought other people might want one, and that's occupying our machining place at the moment. But we're very close to it being final assembly and then running it in on the Dyno before seeing what she'll do.

A couple of straps that can be put over those bags to prevent them from sliding about would finish that off nicely.I've been paranoid about these things ever since I watched a film about how loose luggage and object on rear seats, parcel shelves and the boot basically turned into deadly projectiles in an accident
The reason that I didn't bring the car home with me today is because there are two outstanding tasks:
1. Re-trim the wheel
2. Create a fabric bulkhead that separates the luggage from the passengers, which utilises the wind-deflector as a lid to fully restrain bags, cases, umbrellas and so on
