Afternoon all

I received a questionnaire from the ONS and wondered if it's absolutely necessary I fill it in. It looks way beyond me to fill it in, and my accountant is talking £100 to fill it in!

It talks of possible penalties if it isn't completed.

Has anyone filled one in, or been fined for not filling one in?

Cheers
Dean

Section 4 of this states you're legally required to complete it.

I went through a spate of getting these every quarter for a year or so about 7 or 8 years ago. I don't recall them being too onerous to complete and I don't think they have any way to check if the figures you send are absolutely spot on.

I did 3 or 4 of them and then they lost interest in me.

Once you get one of these you MUST complete it.

They aren't that hard to fill in to be honest. Pass it on to your accountant if you don't want to complete it yourself.

I got dragged in a couple of months ago, fortunately my books show online sales as a separate item.

It takes 5 minutes to do, the biggest problem being remembering when to do it.
