Hi all,

Chrome Window to door weather strip trim on driver side keeps lifting when the window gets closed. Anyone know how to fix or what a fix would cost from Aston?

Thanks

Not sure exactly what you mean. Do you have a picture?

If you mean the long chrome strip between the base of the window and the door, I don't think they're that expensive to replace. The small chrome piece between the wing mirror and the front of the the door fell off of mine, I think it was about £20.

Assuming the existing chrome is all OK though, I'm sure a dealer can just re-attach it as it's held on with some sticky tape type stuff, I doubt you'd need to replace it.

If it's just reattaching the piece you have, then I'd hope the dealer would just sort FOC to be honest.

I assume you mean the chrome weatherstrip that sits at the top edge of the door skin? The rubber on these can harden over time which can push them up at the back and proud somewhat, so alignment with the lower rear window trim piece tends to look a bit off. I think the only practical fix is to replace with new, but no idea how simple/complex this is to undertake.

Thank you all yes that's what I meant. As showing in the photo. I reattached with some double sided nylon tape and pushed the clips upward inside . Seems to have worked
