I'm an old git, loads of NCD, ride a GSXR 1000, live in the countryside, bike garaged overnight, commute to work (10k p.a.?), need 'appropriate' recommendations please peeps.

Renewal quote is £135 comp with protected NCB.

I used Bikesure for years with no problems. Using Bemoto presently for 3 bikes. Probably not the cheapest but they don't charge for mid term adjustments etc.

Bemoto beat the best quote I got form comparison sites by a good few quid. No online quotes, you have to ring them.

You have a fully comp NCD protected policy on offer at £135 I'm presuming with a company you trust ?

What exactly are you hoping to achieve ? I suspect you are close to 'minimum premium' for 90% of the market, even if you could save 10% is it worth all the grief for £13.50 ? In fact typing this is more effort than I would want to make for £13.50 !!!

I used goskippy.com. I'd never heard of them before this year, but got my new R1M covered for £300. Not sure you've got much room to play with on the price though as it's probably as low as anyone is likely to go on a sportsbike.

What I'm looking for? Yes, this would have helped.

Generic answer, lower compulsory Excess, Trackday option, Green card included for 90 days, that sort of thing.

For me personally, the main thing I look for is 1st hand experience of people who (unlike myself - touching wood) HAVE had to claim, vouching for the ease of doing business with an insurer/broker. I agree with your comment entirely about £13.50 (is that including IPTax?). For me what's BEST isn't necessarily what's best for others and certainly isn't what's cheapest. I apply the 'buy cheap, buy twice' motto quite often.

I wouldn't recommend none of them, quotes change each year , as does service ive found...

Taht said, I wouldnt recommend Swintons...but some will love them which kinda proves me point.

You will have to do the leg work im afraid.

Another vote for Principal from me.

Footman James have got my bikes covered. If your bikes are 10-15 yrs old or older you can cover them on a classic policy. I'm paying £220 fully comp for 4 bikes for me and my dad to ride and with unlimited mileage including commuting. Garaged. Rural postcode.
