I got given an LS2 Rookie helmet when I booked my DAS (part of an offer the training school was doing)... i've been pretty impressed by it to be honest and they aren't that expensive to buy

This might help
http://www.visordown.com/motorcycle-top-10s/top-10...

I would also try a few big vendors and ask what they still have of last years model that they would do a good price on.

Economical is all relative. I got my Mrs a £200 Nolan with a removable chin bar but a full face covering clear visor - she likes open face helmets so was the closest I could get to her getting a full face one. I refused to buy her a cheap piece of rubbish even though she's actually used it a few times only.
I'm used to having Shoeis and spending more wink Hence it all being relative cost wise.

They used to say in the 60's if you've got a £10 head get a £10 helmet.

I got the HJC IS-17 as my first lid and was impressed with it.

Haha, you could argue she should know her way around that department anyway smile

I got the OH an HJC thing for around £175. Has a pin lock, flip down visor and apparently the ventilation is pretty good.

Most the AGV K3 range is highly affordable and always deals on at places iike helmet city .... plus they are no nonsens lids that do what they say, if one fits I'd get one of those .....

Another vote for AGV's here-picked up my OH one from Bikestop, has all the important bits like a Pinlock plus the confidence it'll actually be reasonably good at protecting her in an off-cost around £160 from memory. Fits beautifully, too.
