Could be, but there's a cheaper 997 CSR for sale at £58K on PH too.

Use of my 997.2 S has been somewhat soradic this year unsurprisingly, and have ended up mostly using it on track. The car has a few changes from standard at present:
- PASM DSC controller with custom settings for normal (road) and sport (track) modes
- GT3 gear shifter
- GT3 brake ducts
- PS4S tyres on the standard wheels for winter / wet track days
- Second set of wheels for summer / dry track days, OZ Ultraleggera HLT 8.5" front / 12" rear fitted with Cup 2 tyres in 245/305 widths
- Pagid RSL 29 pads for track days with Titanium heatshields and Castrol SRF fluid
- Zunsport grills
A few pics from this year:
Snetterton:
Bedford using PS4S - ultimate grip is lower but they transition from grip to slip very progressively:
After an aborted attempt at creating a Megane RS250 track car, I'm now planning the winter upgrades to make the 911 more focussed for track work:
- GT3 master brake cylinder (already purchased)
- HEL brake lines (already purchased)
- Top Gear cat back switchable exhaust to replace the PSE (already purchased)
- Uprated coilovers, probably Bilstein B16 Damptronic so I can still use the DSC box
- Girodisc brake discs front and rear
- Centre radiator
- RSS engine mounts
- RSS control arms front and rear
- RSS stage 1 suspension package
- Centre gravity install / set-up
- Decent bucket seats - would love genuine Porsche carbon folding buckets but will probably go for something cheaper
An ambitious list so will probably be spread over the course of next year but looking forward to making a bit of a project out of the car. Any other suggestions would be most welcome!

Are these any good?
The 997 versions seem to get good reviews (mainly in the US). A bit on the firm side for road use but hopefully better for track work. There aren't many optons is you want to keep PASM. The KW option (which I believe RPM use on their CSR) appear to be more road biased and not very robust for track work looking at the reviews I've seen (in the US again). Are these any good?
I've been down the KW V3 route before but just want a simple button press for this car rather than laying on the floor trying to adjust. I can take a laptop and tweak the DSC box at the track day if required as well.

So, further to my original post, I found this on YT last night :

Clearly there’s resprays and there’s resprays.
A complete panel off, glass out, change of colour respray job, done properly, won’t have been cheap. But the project looks to have been more of a complete restoration AND a CSR upgrade, rather than just a CSR upgrade, so some of the additional expense is justified.
Chucking £130K at a 100+K mile Gen 1 997 S that’s worth what ? £15-20K max, still seems a somewhat questionable choice if you don’t keep it for 5-10 years to get some enjoyment from driving it.
Having seen the vid. There’s an unbelievable amount of work gone into the car!... it’s like a new car. Fantastic but maybe worth £80K I would imagine. But absolutely stunning.https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xc9JwvSf-lc

I would investigate a low temp thermostat and oil cooler. With your better brakes, tyres and driver improvement you'll be doing longer, harder stints and the oil temps will be high and sustained.

Thanks. I believe the Gen 2 already has an improved thermostat compared to the Gen 1 and is controlled better as well, so hopefully the addition of the third radiator will suffice. Will look into oil coolers though as that could be a worthwhile addition. I would investigate a low temp thermostat and oil cooler. Thankyou for the link to the podcast, it was most enlightening, added to which there's an interesting, additional twist for me, as I've also driven the owner’s 981 Cayman CSR (I wasn’t aware both cars belonged to him) "Talking CSR with the owner of Snakebite - Technik Torque

The Cayman is clearly a far more track focused spec than when I drove it some 3 years ago (it was the same spec as when Evo tested it).
If the Snakebite is as half as good as the 981 was, it must be cracking thing to own/drive
No doubt it was a tough decision to have to sell the 997

Looks great, well done! How about the oil / pump setup, is Gen 2 = Gen 1? If so you should also consider the issue of potential oil starvation while on track. Something like this could be useful:

Just watched a video on YouTube where the centre Rev counter dial/decals was changed from the standard black (Carrera) to red. The guy doing it looked to struggle. However, I wouldn’t mind having that option if it was available but have never seen them advertised anywhere. Thoughts please. PS. I watched the same guy telling you how to change the side repeaters but it was not the correct way !
