Really, that's not a good looking car.

I quite like it, a great daily 500ft/lb torque :-)

even better and a manual option, 50/50 weight distribution on the vantage like my old CSL , No fighting understeer.

Err, I may be technologically moribund, but... doesn’t RWS dial out the vast majority of understeering tendencies. Am I wrong?

Cue, expert knowledge!

they can be very amusing, the dbs I had could light its rears up in a straight line ,on bone dry roads in 3rd and 4th gear, but eventually does become wearisome.

a good read indeed glad you lot are banging the miles on your new .2 GT3's especially glad to read the manual lads swapping cogs old style are more than happy.......and I'm also happy, Happy to say I'm joining the .2 GT3 (manual) gang.....Deposit paid this morning and Spec' mostly buttoned down only a slight wobble on the colour....Carmine Red or GT Silver? and I'll have that sorted by the weekend.....all ready for an alleged February delivery so just enough time to get some miles on it before Track season biggrin

I have to say I would be tempted with carmine over the ever lovely GT silver. It's an unusual colour and one that's slightly less out there if you don't want too much attention. You could almost get away with turning up to the opera with your leggy Russian princess in a carmine GT3! Mine is white and stops traffic!
Carmine touring is a very nice spec.

My brother is going to spec a Touring I think. He's considering black which would suit it well with pccb's and platinum alloys.

A thing of beauty

Guys

Wonder could any of you guys who use the car a lot could comment on the usuability of the car in daily traffic?

I'm currently going through a garage rationalisation. I have a Ferrari 458 as a "special" car that does nothing for me whatsoever. I think its not the car, just the time of my life with 4 young kids that I never get a window to use it.

As a daily I'm using a 997 Turbo Manual, which I genuinely use every day, going to the shops, in and out of work in a lot of stop/start traffic, you name it I do it, no fear about bringing it anywhere.

I had been thinking of switching the 997 Turbo for a 991 Turbo S, but recently I've started thinking of selling the 458, and just getting 1 car to do everything.

I have ny name down for a GT3 and not sure if I will get an allocation but if it does come to pass it seems like its potentially exactly what I want. All the 911 usability but still rewarding for a weekend drive.

So just wondering about owners experiences with the car, at least those of you who are driving them as I describe above and not weekend toys.

How is the manual in crawling traffic and would it ever make you wish you had PDK? How is the ride quality in the softest suspension settings on bad roads? etc etc

Realy fascinated to hear owners opinions on how genuinely usable the car would be as a daily?
pdk all the way if driving in traffic, don't miss manual at all even on track.

Blacks a poor seller and not many people want to look after the colour, it's a rare choice these days, it's ni on a dead duck on the Cayman R.
Not for me.

Yeah but I'm not a detailer so I don't mind a dirty car if I'm using it. Black metallic would be a lovely thing I think on a Touring with some carbon.

Has anyone on here got a firm date for a Touring delivery? Mine just moved back to late January. Anyone else heard anything?

Detail / Paint correction, PPF and don't worry anymore.
