Hi there - you're right - I've got nothing to worry about and I can see how this could sounds a bit crass if misconstrued.

& you're right, if I get one great and if not, so be it.

I guess I'm just having a giggle really - I thought various amusing posts about my trials and tribulations might raise a smile in the PH community - nothing more smile

You don't need to justify yourself R. Mr I tends to be negative under the guise of asking questions to just about everything. You're clearly a very genuine enthusiast and why shouldn't you want a GT3?!

That's 'my' OPC too. Have a word with them for me will you, old chap? biggrin
I would have a word with them, but Reading is not my OPC. That's where the decals are fitted, apparently. I will call them in the morning however to see where your car is smile

So are a large majority of people financing their GT3?

I presumed that most would have been cash purchases, but having never bought a new GT car before I don’t know the protocol. I understand that it’s good to use someone else’s money, but at 5-7% APR is not be comfortable loading a large amount onto my new purchase.
Peering beadily over the dealer’s shoulder is VWFS. Gold stars awarded for finance, additional stars for returning finance. So take a bit of finance, let the dealer get his Gold stars then settle in full after the third monthly payment. Everyone is happy smile

Got the call
I literally am Charlie Bucket with a golden ticket !

im going for metallic black pccbs CS leather, lift and a load of carbon on the inside 918 buckets and few other bits

A car for European touring - to Spa !!

Does anyone actually use cruise control ? And that gash in the middle of the dash , is it on the 'must have' list ?

Congratulations, sounds like a great spec but I wouldnt go for metallic black myself as its far too hard to keep clean! smile

Cruise control is a godsend IMO. I use it all the time on long european slogs and on our crappy UK motorway network. Simple matter of set and forget, makes for a far more relaxed drive as you are not constantly checking and adjusting your speed.

As for

Surely cruise is an absolute must ,purely for all the spec camera 50mph zones on the motorways.

I have cruise control on all my current Porsches and the only one i find useful and relevant in the UK's ever more congested stop/start motorways is the ACC(Radar) on my new Panamera hybrid..I find the standard CC too much of a faff on our crowded motorways..

I've had/got it on loads of cars. Used it once or twice ever. It's a slippery slope to autonomous cars! I like the engagement, the control, keeps me paying attention etc

If you accept that taking finance is not really to do with funding but rather ticking boxes then what I can say is my dealer is happy with 3 payments before the finance is paid off. As it happens the balance owed to me on my trade in px was more than the cost of the new car so they gave me all my money back and then I took a smidge of finance. Kind of polar opposite of what Comrade McDonnell plans for the UK economy. wink
