Anyone for ‘T’

Exciting stuff, I'm hoping you'll love it. Great choice for first Porsche
Not sure how you find out about how many are in UK - there are 68 listed on 'howmanyleft.co.uk' but if they've not got 'Carrera T' on the V5 they won't show on there, so it's not reliable. There are 21 in the OPC network but most will be already registered. From reading on here I'd gues around 2-4 for each OPC so maybe as many as 200+
I am happy to see a few about and have met up with 3-4 North west owners already via Porsche Club GB and Tipec. Keep posting when it comes, with photos of course.
There's a UK facebook owners group. If you're on FB and pm me here with your profile, I can add you.
I was wondering if production would have been curtailed because of the factory shutdown?? Really odd how they could suddenly shut down the entire factory! Not sure how you find out about how many are in UK - there are 68 listed on 'howmanyleft.co.uk' but if they've not got 'Carrera T' on the V5 they won't show on there, so it's not reliable. Just got back from a 2000 mile trip to the French Riviera in the T. Had a great time and the car was amazing to drive.
Despite having the front end PPF,d I ve managed to pick up a small dent in the front bumper from a stone I presume which is very annoying, not sure it’s damaged the paint underneth 😡

Litchfield motors have been working on a 'T'.

It probably makes more sense for a base carrera, given it goes against the ethos of the carrera T. Still interesting though.

A Carrera 2 GTS with over 500 bhp must be interesting! http://www.litchfieldmotors.com/porsche/911-2-carr...

just bought one having been looking at £100k GT3's. heart said GT3. thankfully brain kicked in
just a lovely thing. fast enough for me, special enough, without the compromises that are there in a GT3 especially once the ego massaging of "i drive a GT3 therefore I'm a proper driver" has worn off. or the £10k refresh bill arrives (hmm)
GT silver, T interior, rear steer, no back seats, manual
paid £2k under list with 900 miles on the clock
cant wait to enjoy it

GT3 different ballpark entirely to a T.just a lovely thing. fast enough for me, special enough, without the compromises that are there in a GT3 especially once the ego massaging of "i drive a GT3 therefore I'm a proper driver" has worn off. or the £10k refresh bill arrives (hmm)
If you considered buying a GT3 just to massage your ego then you clearly don't understand the car.
I’ve had a 996 GT3 before and I loved it. I just felt the satisfaction of driving and ownership would be fleeting moments (but amazing) whereas the T would delight on a daily basis.
I don’t think you can understand a car. You can only rationally assess the pros and cons and as in this case say to yourself that’s a bloody good car, or you can kind of say sod it im in love and to hell with the practicalities. This time I’ve gone for the former

Price paid is interesting, I occasionally look at what’s for sale and there are currently 25 on the locator (you have to tick the two little boxes to see this many). Most of them have been around for months now - it will be interesting to see where prices settle in the near future - I think if you want white, silver or black you’re in luck. just a lovely thing. fast enough for me, special enough, without the compromises that are there in a GT3 especially once the ego massaging of "i drive a GT3 therefore I'm a proper driver" has worn off. or the £10k refresh bill arrives (hmm)

Nice purchase and says a bit about the current market. With no 911’s coming to these shores for at least six months this year I am quite surprised that a car like that with a good spec is selling below list. just a lovely thing. fast enough for me, special enough, without the compromises that are there in a GT3 especially once the ego massaging of "i drive a GT3 therefore I'm a proper driver" has worn off. or the £10k refresh bill arrives (hmm)

I’m not, there are loads of white and silver available - if you are relaxed about spec you’ll be fine. Not trying to talk them down, I was just so surprised at how many are for sale and also how slowly they are moving - feels like a buyers market to me.
I like the concept of the T - trouble is IMHO lots of cars have been over speced for a base “low” BHP 911 and are really, very very expensive cars - I really like it in its pure form and if I could have speced one when I wanted one I would have done so very cheaply - manual, comforts, dab, Nav and that’s about it

Not forgetting the lightweight glass T pack and red stitching of course!
