Being the last narrow body 911’s, manual, no back seats and with RWS makes them a compelling and collectable prospect?
Only is specced as such....possibly maybe.

The 991.2 non GT3 etc range is the only time I've come to Porsche with a completely open mind, that is, I didn't like the idea of any of them due to the engine from the get go.

Was pleasantly surprised by the base Carrera, much better than the S. Engine still had faults, but fewer, and the chassis felt fab and no complaints about the manual box. Carrera T if specced correctly can only be an improvement, happy days. But, you're still working with a "flawed" (for people like me) package, so I don't see it as being collectible. Which is refreshing, because the more pork that remains within reach of enthusiasts, the better.

Are people really buying Carerra T’s because they think they’re collectible?? I bought mine because it’s fun, the packaging makes it feel a bit special, has four seats (important for me), not too pricey and is quick without being rabid

But if a GT3 Touring had four seats I’d have found a way to get my sticky paws on one!

Without that pipe dream the Carerra T is the best (for me) 911 currently available

Carrera T now at the bottom of the 80's. Do I take the plunge?

Can't find any with rws at the lower prices but not sure if that is going to be a must?

Just my opinion but I wouldn't buy a 991 without RWS after experiencing what it does on the last few cars...

Would be tempted to wait for 992 to be launched unless you want one this year.

no but it's better with and makes the car feel more mid engine.
Doers wonders for the 911 and slower turn in hence all the GT cars have it now.

Doubtful.

Any slight drop into winter will be made up into early next year into Spring as peak buying season commences.

I think they need to be about £75-78k (minimal spec) to £80-83k (big spec) to start properly moving. I think a lot of speculators (including dealers) got caught out a bit with the T. The hype and dealer push was strong at the beginning... but then everyone started to cringe a bit when they were advertised into the £90's upto and over £100k. I'd be tempted myself by a stripper at mid seventies but wouldn't pay any more for RWS, PCCBs, etc etc.

I think the ideal Carerra T spec includes RWS, manual ‘box and T interior pack. Never had problem with standard brakes so PCCBs not required IMO, just a nice to have. Lightweight glass (ie no heated rear screen, rear wiper or tints), because, well just because it makes it sound a bit better!

I’m not an audiophile, but find the standard sound system just about passable. If I chose again I’d look for BOSE

Personal taste on carrera sport 20” wheels. Personally I prefer the standard alloys

Sunroof feels over the top for what the T is so I’d pass on that option. Speed limit display useful. Cruise control not. I don’t get the cost when new of the LED lights for PDLS...

That’s about it on the spec front

At the risk of repeating what has been said by numerous people on this thread.....go and drive one, if youre still not impressed then fine but this is on a par with me driving past the Mclaren showroom and saying the cars are rubbish. I was fairly ambivalent until I drove one, that was the difference. My porsche list goes from a 993 to 4 x turbo's and a GT3, the T is without doubt one of the best i've driven. Try it....you just might like it.....hehe

The T is not just good but brilliant.

Totally different car to a Boxster.

You could say the same either way to be fair.

I had my test drive today in a T to see if I needed to scratch that itch. I have a 981 Boxster S so am looking for an upgrade.

Whilst I enjoyed the car it was not raw enough, nor did its engine sing like a normally aspirated and I wasn't hanging about. The car is fantastic as a daily car being incredibly refined and the gearbox was great. The short throw and it being so easy to hand made me think I could literally drive one every day. Unfortunately I just didn't grin in the same way I do when wringing the neck off my Boxster.

So whilst the T would make a great alternative to my M4 as a daily driver it won't replace my Boxster as a weekend car.

The search continues but it looks like a GT4 or Spyder are my most likely upgrades now.
