I've driven a few hundred miles in this one which resulted in me buying a T. It was Silverstone's demo but everyone enjoyed driving it so much they kept it far longer than usual, I think it had 11k miles last time I borrowed it.
Looks a stunning demo car.
Congratulations on your purchase, look forward to some updates, running reports and a review smile

Thank you for your advice. I bought the GT silver Perth car with 200 miles on. Full buckets and a nice alcantara multi function wheel. It has the dab as well. The spec was pretty much what I wanted, there is always a compromise if your not speccing yourself of course.

Cannot wait!
Fantastic! Multi function steering wheel gets a thumbs up too. Please post how you get on with it.

An excellent comparison between the 991.2 Carrera T vs 992.s. Worth watching just to hear the start up sound of the 992.

Janko Lind is always good IMO. Interesting that despite feeling that RAS was a must have on the 991.2 he feels the 992 handles brilliantly without it..I was also a big fan of RAS on the 991.2 but went without it on my 992 as i thought the changes made to the steering rack would suffice.

That start up confirms what I heard when my OPC started one of their cars up before it had been PDI’d....it’s pretty quiet.

Everybody tells me to get a 992; yet my heart still goes to the T. Cant explain why.

I like the quiter start up - surely a vociferous start up map is the domain of a Ferrari or Lamborghini....?

I feel your dilemma. I had a T (basic spec with cloth and RWS) and absolutely loved it. Despite it being down on power compared to a 991.2 GTS, I much preferred it....and I'd agree that on paper, that makes no sense

Janko definitely seemed to enjoy the T as much as the 992. They're very much the same but totally different. Either could mean the same thing to different buyers.

IIRC your GTS was PDK and your T was a Manual..Could this be the reason you preferred the T.?
.I went down to my OPC this time last year intent on buying a T..As the only Manual they had was not fitted with RAS i testdrove a 981 Spyder instead and i bought it..I love my Spyder and i feel its a very long term keeper.
I've never owned any 911 where i feel could be long term keepers even my current 991.2 GT3.

I have owned a manual GTS and recently a manual T. I agree totally with this, I loved my GTS I really did, but there is something about the T. It doesn't feel any slower, and who knows why.

I like the bucket seats a lot more, I have a much better position than the 18 way ones.

The narrow body is a real winner for me. I had a 993 and it reminds me of that for some reason.

All subjective of course, but that's why they make so many variants.

Ive mentioned this before but the 'manuel' T in many ways including sound (with pse on 997.1) is very similar to the 997.1 Carrera S and in some ways more akin to the 997 GTS in terms of character.

There is certainly something about the T that well exceeds the sum of its parts.

Using the How Many Left search there are 151 manual Ts in the U.K. and 86 with PDK. Rarer than a GT3...although not an R for sure.

Matches with the dealer allocations and presumably the factory shutdown kept the numbers down too?? Another reason to buy/keep a T.

This one looks like a great spec T
- Manual
- RWS
- T interior
- rear seats
- no sunroof
- nice extras

There are more subsections with the GT3 I.e. clubsport non clubsport far fewer 'manuels' than PDK S and GT3 touring also.

Comfort GT3s and bucket seated non clubsports are quite rare.

Not really.

That would include sunroof, pdk etc.
