The only downside to the perspex rear window is you need plenty of heat on in winter!
It's definitely a car to "drive".

Very sad to have sold my T. What a fantastic car but a manual GT3 was always on the horizon. So having driven a T and a GT3 back to back I can say that seats do make a difference. My T with LWB's is a harsher ride than a GT3 with folding buckets. I really think that the T is terrific value used and it doesn't feel half the price of a GT3. Porsche really did weave some magic into the T despite what people who have never driven one say but I couldn't justify keeping the T especially as I have added a Turbo cab after selling my Spyder. I feel I've got the best of both worlds with these cars but the T will always have a special place for me.

Incidentally, I had little love for the 981 Spyder as I found the steering numb and I didn't like the lack of low down torque now rectified in the 718. In fairness, these issues were probably magnified by running this car in conjunction with a T which has great steering, low down torque and far better gearing. However, I did love the 'chavtastic' exhaust note!

But to anyone considering a T - you won't be disappointed.

Interesting; thanks. I recently bought a T. Very pleased with it. Echo what you say about the engine and steering. RWS (I suspect) makes it feel very nimble too.

I wouldn't want that plate either. Be interesting to see how much it makes. Previous auction had some cracking 911 plates and plates in general.

I'm looking for a manual 991.2 at the moment. There are a few T's up for sale at the moment, however there are also around the same price as a 2 year older S with not much difference in miles. Any reason why I shouldn't be looking at the S's instead? The only 'advantage' the T might have over the S is the turbo's spinning up a little quicker. On the negative, less power etc.

T far rarer than the S and better value too for a newer car.

T will hold its value much better.

S no quicker in real world driving.

Finding a manual S might be tricky.
The main advantage would be straight line speed and bigger breaks.
Though the T isn't really about out and out speed.
I'd guess a manual T with the right bits and bobs is just a bit more special and unique.
It'll probably be an easier sell next time around if that's important, the S buyer probably might prefer pdk.

Not sure its more rare in manual really - there are less manual S about. Regarding T holding its value - what are you basis that off? It seems to be depreciating at the same rate mostly as the S's?
Agree on the real world driving - on public roads anything thats 200bhp/ton is basically all the same at legal speeds

Yes hardly any manual S's about - only 2 at the moment both with no warranties which makes me a bit nervous though price does reflect this. I am tempted by one of them. Bigger brakes always useful though only in the Alps/on track :-)

I think you might be right about selling. I'm more of a T person I suppose (just got rid of my Lotus Evora 410) and fancy something a bit more civilised for the daily. (I still have an Elise for the weekend). However I prefer the full leather in the S to the sports tech and don't want buckets. So hence this post really.

I've also been looking at the GTS and seem reasonable good value over the T's given the extra kit and performance. Though some of its not all good (center locking wheels, and most are alcantara), but they do look better IMO.

Just can't find the right car and I've been looking a while now so considering the T's.

Only 176 manual Carrera Ts out of 274 UK cars.

As previously mentioned rarity of the T and last of the narrow bodied Carreras will mean strong residuals whereas the S will inevitably depreciate further.

The supply of T's has really dried up in the last couple of months. I really miss mine - big mistake selling it for a GT3. Should have held onto it as it's such a fantastic daily and it took all of a couple of weeks to sell too. So nimble compared to a GT3 which honestly feels like a tank. I still can't get my head over how heavy the back end feels.

Just signed into this thread after a long absence to see if anyone is updating so nice to see some comments today! I continue to run my T and at 9,000 miles it has loosened up beautifully and is lovely to chuck around. Agree all the key points: narrow body, low build number, tractable. I would like a 992 Turbo but no way can I sell the T!

I have a yellow manual T. Only 33 of that combo in the UK.

No back seats, light rear glass, cloth door pulls just make it feel very special and different from the full fat models like the GTS.

It’s just a beautiful thing.

How is your manual box loosing up?

Mine has done 5000 miles and I find 1st to 2nd a bit notchy and not very smooth?

This one looks great!

Almost exactly the same as my car....they have even copied my Agate Gray 911R stripes!

Best colour in yellow too but the T doesn't need RWS.

Interesting point - the change has improved: it’s definitely more pleasing around 4000 rpm - you get the greater sense of torque and flow. I also find the higher range changes are quicker (or have I got used to making the right movements?). Controversy - beyond the mixed marketing messages - with this car is that it has the 7 speed rather than godlike 6 speed box (as we all know on this thread!), but when you consider it’s actually a unique mating of the S’ shorter shift box with the base engine the experience should be unique. I also felt that the car’s overall fluidity improved after its first service (the engine breathes easier and I’m sure it sound more like an air cooled engine on cold starts (fantasising?!), but fuel economy has improved as well - not that that motivates me! I just find it interesting).
