IIRC the engine cover is plastic composite, so yes, if the sticker's magnetic, it's not going to work on there.

Thank you. Just so many great roads / mountain passes and scenery that I had to remember to stop and try to get a photo or two every now and then.

Yes the GB sticker was magnetic and so it was literally the only place it would attach at the rear.

The (Seal?) grey and yellow colour combo looks utterly superb on the 997.

Thank you for your comments. The colour is Atlas Gray I don't think many 997.1 GT3 were supplied in this colour. The yellow accents and LM decals just help to break up the mass of the dark colours. I also fitted these.....

Are they original buckets retrimmed or aftermarket seats retrimmed?

I think those folding buckets are about the most comfortable and supportive seats I've ever used. Fixed 997.1 buckets work pretty well, but they are excellent. Not a cheap upgrade though!

It really does not look like Atlas grey, but then the only cars in that colour that I've seen are 997.2 and perhaps they altered the colour slightly? That or maybe it's a trick of the camera? Really suits the car.

Googling images, the 997.1 colour does seem to be more like the dark blue/grey that I've seen 997.2 cars in:
