Don't know about that car, but the colour looks lovely, although I have an aversion to black cars, purely from the point of being lazy and them being bds to keep looking clean.

FWIW, I saw JZM posted on Facebook yesterday that they have just got a guards red 996.1 GT3 in stock, but it's not in their showroom stock online yet: https://www.facebook.com/JZMPorsche/photos/pcb.228...
Yes 70k!

Strewth! I can't see interior, but it didn't look like Clubsport spec either.

I think these cars (not just Porsche) are more likely to come off say 15k than go up 10k.

Meh. I could go buy a new M3 with a few options @ 70k and loose more than that in a year.

I'll be driving the wheels of mine, which still feels condition-wise as new, and enjoying it - whilst others watch prices.

True enough but then you're not buying an M3.

I love the Mk1 but not at 70k

I was up at RPM the other week and the condition of the silver 996.2 GT3 is absolutely superb. There are some decent buys out there if you're prepared to take a contrarian view on mileage. Everyone (in the UK at least) seems obsessed with perceived low mileage on any cars and not just Pork - like 50k, 60k or 70k is somehow stratospheric. Sure, on a 15 year old car you'll need to budget for work doing but that's probably true whether the car has done 10k miles or 70k miles. As long as it's been properly looked after mechanically, what's the problem?

A great driving experience awaits. That's what these cars are all about and they're still at an (relatively) affordable level to be used properly and enjoyed fully on road and track. There is something about this car that really gets under the skin. For me, it's not totally straightforward to learn how to drive and I feel like you need to be very alert to drive it moderately quickly. But on those days when you get it working (and it gets you working). It's an immersive and intense experience and in a way it's now a bit niche or archaic.

I've realised over time that the continued appeal of the 996 GT3 is in the learning. I forgot who said it (or wrote it) perhaps it was Richard Meaden, I'll paraphrase but the more you demand of it, the more it demands of the driver. And it's always up to the challenge when hustled, feeling almost over-engineered for a road car, despite being over 15 years old now. Can only imagine how visceral it would be to race one of these thngs competitively.

Funny , Meaden said the same about the GT4 in his review video when it first came out .
His words “ it’s requires you to raise your game”

The RPM car looks lovely.

Then there’s this one too at Autostore but not to be confused with the one already mentioned.
This has KWs, Alcons, buckets, Tequipment cage and only 42k miles.

https://www.autostoresales.co.uk/porsche996gt32

Anyone know it?
Currently on GT03 SJO I believe.

Vendor reckons no track work but why fit Alcons as harnesses to a Comfort then?
Says it was just for the look.

The above along with the RPM car are my two current favourites.
I could use that black one for 6 or 7 years before it had the mileage of the RPM one.
I’d still be perfectly happy with the 60k of the RPM one though.

I paid £63k 2 years ago for mine it's 27k miles full history and to me the best colour. Porsche must think the same as this was the launch colour of the GT3 and is for the new 992. I have a 996 turbo as well which is such a great car to use every day. The GT3 is a completely different animal to drive it feels alive and visceral. It just feels special and exciting plus the engine is a peach and sounds lovely. Its these qualities that make it stand out from the crowd the engines are bullit proof and the car still drives and looks like new they really are well put together. It's all these qualities that make the car so special and I guarantee you in 10 years when all new cars are auto hybrids or full battery people will be posting on here do you remember when you could buy a 996 GT3 for less than 70k! All manual naturally aspirated affordable/desirable high end sports cars will all go up in value IMO. Yes with all this Brexit bks the next few years might affect prices but rest assured these cars as history always proves are only going to get dearer even more so the way emissions and legislation are going.

For that same reason I bought a 2010 15k miles manual Audi R8 V10 again in a bright colour as to me it's a no brainer we will never see engines like this ever again very shortly. I paid £55k for the car and yes it might dip a bit but you see in 10 years time that price will look a steal! So my advice is buy as low a mileage good condition GT3 as you can afford use it and enjoy it on nice days as a 2nd car and you will not regret it at all. It will be better than free motoring it will make you money and once you sell it ya kids will say wow my dad had a 996 GT3 he gave away for 100k or whatever !

Love the colour choices on your cars .

There will always be a fan base for certain cars but presently most assets are dipping in price .

If you buy now it’s for the very long term imo and remember you have running costs along the way.

Nice to own a launch colour 996 GT3 however

Agree. Cars like Mezger 911s, V10 Audis, V12 Astons, all with manual boxes, look very tempting as long term keepers. Involving drivers' cars representing the end of an era, unlikely to be repeated.
