Purchased this Subaru Impreza P1 back in March 2013. It has just been sat in dry storage until now. My New Years resolution is to have this back on the road for the spring. The car is undergoing a light restoration with stripping the underneath, repairing, repainting and refurbishing everything that’s needed to make mint. Wheels are away being powder coated and new discs, pads and dust shields ordered.

Once the mechanics are sorted then over to Tom Watts at Ultimate Auto in Worcester to work his magic with the paintwork and detailing.[url]

Good lad. My P1 came out of hibernation in 2017 after a few years parked up but I have gone the other way to start with and have doubled the power. Once I have everything fitting and reliable I will then probably in 2019 give it a good overhaul bodywork wise.
It only comes out in the sun anyway and has surprisingly little rot.

Underside refurb all finished now, next stage is to repaint the ftront spoiler and detail the whole car.

I will post some photos when this is completed.

I understand wanting to protect a rare, desirable car... but it still seems a funny idea to me that someone would buy a Subaru (or any other 4wd car really) and only use it in fine weather.

Much more fun on wet, bumpy surfaces. smile

Probably even more so on loose ones.

Used to be my daily driver, had it 13 years now, so has seen every weather and a spot of light off roading in its time with me but she is getting on a bit now and starting to show it. She has done quite well considering but is just starting to get rust creeping in to a few of the common areas like the rear arches, boot etc. so I'm just trying to limit how bad they all get before I do the bodywork in a year or so.
She isn't a garage queen or show car, gets used hard on the road and trackdays. I can also see things getting a bit lively if used in anger in the wet. Got over 500bhp now and even driving in the cold and dry at the weekend was occasionally spinning up all 4 tyres in 2nd gear in a straight line.
Boost comes in a bit hard smile I have about 140bhp at 3500rpm then 460bhp at 5000rpm and building a bit more steadily from there.
