Didn't see this posted

Always wondered if people had been convicted based in their own helmet cam

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-england-devon-42661283/speeding-motorcyclist-caught-by-own-helmet-camera

Now I know

Happened to anyone else? - who's willing to admit it smile

I've been on a couple of bike safe courses, the police riders on this always tell you that if you're dumb enough to video your tomfoolery it's like gift wrapping the prosecution. Seems a good enough reason not to wear one unless you ride like a leather wearing jesus.

Yeah I get the point. 8 months for riding a bike badly. 6 years for being a serial rapist. Doesn't quite make sense. Also, they don't seem to use cctv evidence half the time when robberies occur.

The lefty establishment hate any whiff of maleness or petrol (cos the patriarchy is evil and petrol makes tornados happen) so, yeah, 8 months in the slammer for riding a bike bad. Indicative. Symbo-llock. Reduced to zero.

You can get those remote controls to turn the camera off when silly things are planned.

Badda bing. Or don't ride like a nob. I can't even see the video as the link doesn't work. What does he or she do?

LOOOOOL

Well at least he or she is ok. Something comical about it.

So, 8 months for that...

So it's better value for time to be a murderer. That is the lesson I learn from my social betters in Quislington.

Watched the video and PMSL. It reminds me of that crash that someone had on here last year at a corner that wasn’t really a corner.

Hopefully, it’ll teach you helmet cam wkers to not wear them and get a life.

yes a lad I know has taken to wearing a helmet cam and wants to ride with me later this year, he's been told camera=no riding, plus it makes you look like a cu next Tuesday.

Piss poor crash in the vid and a piss poor effort, only 109mph.....pah!

Exactly what I thought...perhaps not so experienced, and more interested in filming himself following his mate at high speed than focusing on the business of turning the bike into the corner.....

He didnt actually get 8 months though?.. ...well 8 months suspended...so hes back to work now with a fine, and all is normal in his life. The 8 months only happens if he re-offends in the next 2 years....

Basically a severe slap on the wrist and make him think twice about his riding..... for a couple of years at least.......

Reminds me of that guy in the 90s who filmed himself doing enthusiastic speeds in a Ferrari F40 then sold it on VHS.
