With the bad weather the lacquer has peeled off and will continue as its flaky around the edges.

Just wondered if anyone had either done this diy or its a pro job. If so any ideas on price?

Definitely a pro's job. You're not that far from Frank at 'Option One' near Bromsgrove just of M5. I wouldn't take a TVR anywhere else.

Hard to see if the base/colour coat has lifted as well?

Had experience of a small area of lacquer lifting (say, 150mm x 80mm) following removal of decals from the 'panel' between the rear lights on my Tuscan. A mate reckoned he could sort it.

We flattened the area off using 1200 wet & dry then misted on several coats of 'rattle-can' lacquer. Used mates electric polishing mop, and after several applications of G3 compound it came up fine.

Worst case, if you try a diy approach and it doesn't come good/you're unhappy, you'll have to take it to a professional...But that is what you were thinking in the first place?

I was thinking of DIY if it was just lacquer, may try that route and worst case is it's off to a pro.

Just wondered how much it'll cost.
