I am now the proud owner of a 200 mile E10S! Couple of questions I have for other owners:
Seat pads are showing signs of fraying on the edges, has this affected any other cars and is there a recommend fix?
Has anyone fitted upgraded brakes as I’ve found the standard brakes tricky for road use when cold
Any advice much appreciated

Ha ha well done. That garage is 15 mins from me.

I just put a deposit down on the red one that was on autotrader next to yours. How's the car? Are you impressed? More importantly how the hell did you get it home in that weather on Saturday LOL.

Very impressed with the car, took a 15 minute test drive but didn’t get chance to warm the brakes properly and they’ll take a bit of getting used to. Loved the noise and don’t think i’ll ever tire of it! Didn’t drive it home Saturday, I’m getting it transported down in a few days. Let me know if the seat pads are fraying on the red one, I’ve emailed a couple of companies for re-upholster quotes as that will just annoy me if I leave it!

Was looking at both the blue and red ones this weekend, couldn't believe how cheap they are now! - weren't they nearer £30k 3 months ago?

I have the new car invoice with mine, it was registered October 2017 (it’s showing on a 66 plate but trying to get on a 67 with DVLA). It was £39k OTR including the Track Pack and Weather Pack, And I’ve bought it at just under the £22500 advertised with 200 miles on he clock. Unbelievable really, hopefully both our cars won’t lose much at all over the next few years

Congrats, Was this the one at Stoke? i took my freind down to view it if it was, looked fab in Blue he even did a deal on it but it fell through in the end...

Seats are Tillets possibly B9's?? and i think they will sell new seat pads for them.

I bought a Zenos just before christmas so still havent had chance to open it up properly yet....

A few of us are going to Anglesey may 28th for an open pit track day.

Colin Wakelin is very pro-active for Zenos still and has designed a few modifications for current owners, as is Jon peeke-vout who now works for AC cars on the forthcoming E10 due to be made in next few months.

Reyland do some upgraded discs which i will be buying before i go to track

Yes the car in Stoke, it looks great and the drive was incredible! I’ve just had an email from Jon regarding brakes and have also contacted Wortrc, so will see how it pans out

ooooh you are getting me excited now! I have an S1 Elise so like a raw drive. The Elise is obviously down on power so I am really hoping the E10 will give me that extra ooomf.

There looks like there is only 1 new one out there now from BOSS. Fingers crossed they should hold their value as for £20K they seem like a steal.

Hey Dean, is this what you are seeing? The garage just sent me this photo of mine.

Whats the consensus? Can these be replaced? I suppose its not worth rejecting the car for.

What on earth causes it? Weather or heat? Car has done 300 miles.

I’ve been in touch with Tillets who made the seats and they admitted they were made to a very tight budget and the vinyl isn’t durable. They’ve offered to reupholster in Suede @ £175 + VAT per seat or £275 in leather. Alternatively a local upholsterer has quoted approx £500 inc VAT to do it all in leather. It’s just a poor quality material, mine looks similar to your photo

Good to know mate. PITA though but not worth cancelling the car for.

Definately not worth rejecting car for...

Mine has suede pads and 2700 miles and are still mint so can only pressume it’s the cheaper plastic can’t cope with the weather those have sat in

Think what you’ll have paid even if you upgrade the brakes!

Congrats on the new car, you'll love it once the weather improves.

I've the an E10S too, no screen though, it'll be three years old in July.

What brakes are on the car? Standard are two pot alcon with solid disks. They work well enough but eats pads on track which causes the fluid level to drop very quickly too, was causing me clutch issues.
Upgrade was four pot alcon with vented discs, these are powerful but have no feeling.
Next step was a change in master cylinders, pads and bias set up. This is what I have now and it's working well.

Are you in the Facebook Zenos Owners Group? There's some info in there about another brake upgrade, bigger discs etc. Worth a look.

As for the seats, I have the same ones but no issues with the fabric so far.

Current brakes are:
UPRATED MASTER CYLINDERS
STANDARD 2 POT ALCON FRONT CALIPERS WITH NON VENTILATED DISCS.
I just want something with more feel that’s suitable for road use as I’m not intending much track use
