Childs rear car seat (3-4 year old) for a 996/turbo
Discussion
The Halfords Essentials high back booster (group 3) fits like a glove, so there’s a good chance the Group 123 version for younger kids is also a good fit. It’s one of the only seats with a narrow enough base to fit in the back of my 996 Turbo, and is very secure despite being very basic.
I’ve also used a Maxi Cosi Tobi when my kids were smaller, and a Recaro Monza Nova when they got to Group 3 size (4-5ish upwards), but neither are as good a fit as the cheap and cheerful Halfords seat.

I've got the Tobi for my son as it does 1-4 (he's 1 and a quarter) and I've got a Maxi Codi Rodi fit for the next size up for my daughter who is just over 4. Neither are a perfect fit but the Tobi has a couple of what I can only describe as lock off points where you clamp it onto the seatbelt so it's pretty secure.
Halfords' basic seat again for me. I have tried various others including the Tobi. There can probably be no doubt that the more expensive seats are safer, as we know, but maybe this is for an individual to decide. The Halfords' one fits well and my lad sits down in the car, which I assess to be safer. In the Tobi his head was up near the roof.
