We will not be watching any more SW films at the cinema, after the critics lied to us and got our hope up with the last one.
Same here. After GB3 and TLJ - it’s clear that critics are being bought or threatened.
I’m not dropping £30-£40 on a night out to see a movie when I can pick up a dvd six months later for £10 (and then sell it on if it’s st).

Could be good this. Donald Glover looks perfect as Lando

Most unusually for me, I couldn't give a damn about this film and won't be visiting the cinema to see it.
The Last Jedi rubbish has completely put me off. As well as the bought critics.
I wonder if there will be a noticeable backlash when this is released.
Of course there will be a backlash - it's a Star Wars film, so all the fanboys will be apoplectic when it doesn't meet their precise vision of what they think Solo's backstory should be. The Last Jedi rubbish has completely put me off. As well as the bought critics.

Not all are like that. I'd wager it's just a tiny minority you are talking about.I like SW, I don't have any books, toys or anything like that, just the BR box sets that are watched once or twice a year. I have the new game, but haven't even played it yet after two months of owning it.
We went to see the latest film at 12.01am, after being more excited about this one than TFA, based purely on critics reviews. We felt duped, and what made it worse that is wasn't worth the tiredness we had the next day at work. which really dragged. All for a film that was sub par on almost every level.
I am just an ordinary guy who watches good films when they're released, with no 'Fan Boy' paraphernalia littered through our house. I will not watch the new film when released because I feel the critics can no longer be trusted, and this will be the first SW I will not pay to see at the cinema. Even at the £2.50 ticket price - I still feel ripped off from the last one.
But if you like it, that's fine, too.

The whole trailer looks better. The dialogue in the teaser between Imperial officer and Han was too reminiscent of the the last jedi, overall this looks less so. I sort of trust Ron Howard, he's very thorough, a complete film geek, and although I haven't liked everything he's directed he knows what he's doing. The fundamental flaw here is we haven't been able to reverse the ageing process of Harrison Ford, I feel a bit sorry for Alden Ehrenreich it's an utterly thankless task.
