Had mine from New too, can’t see me changing either unless they let me have a new one which is very unlikely.

Never say never, bud.

Are you in the RS hopeful hat?. Or is that a NO?..

Jeeps, I think a few of those will be PPF'd twice and locked up in a heated garage. Going to be beautiful..

The guys on RL are talking about 5000 cars in two batches - the first pre “shut down “ and then with WP pack from Sept 2018 going a long way into 2019 - we’ll see smile

What will be really interesting is - how many GT3.2 manual lovers will want to change up to own the PDK RS.. It'll be nice to find out because there were so many screaming for a manual GT3.

Will the tease be too much or will they stay with their stick shifts and make more available to Mr PDK scratchchin

I would swap my manual for a PDK RS. Would have one as well if offered but would stick to the manual if I had to make a choice.

What I mean is, if the manual GT3.2 guys get an allocation for the PDK only RS.2 , would they take themselves out of their stick shifts due to the part ex..Who knows, the GT3.2 maybe the last manual so it a big decision. Of course you can buy a used manual GT3 later but its not the same as having it from new..

I would stay with the Manual GT3 personally as I am not a track day person and feel the RS is better suited to track use (not that the GT3 can't hold its own on track)

Yes, Interesting.

So If its a normal cycle for some GT owners to have the next new GT then this time however, for the PDK only RS.2 its very different to what it normally is. You now have the touring manual owners, the manual wing lads and then the PDK wing dudes. Large majority of GT3.2 PDK owners will have the RS, different concept for the others, specially the Touring, that Touring could be rare as rocking horse Sh?t..

FWP indeed - and my answer is going to sound terrible , but in truth you’d really want both - I imagine they are not interchangeable - PDK vs Manaul make these cars so different . (At least this is the case on a 997.2 RS and a 991.1 RS ) I assume this will be similar but I don’t know yet.

If I’m right and could only choose one , I imagine it would be the Manual - It certainly was in the case if the 997.2 RS vs. The 991.1 RS

As you say FWP and I don’t plan to actively get into the bun fight TBH smile

I wish I could type properly ....... I meant I wouldn’t swap my manual for a PDK RS!

I had a few good drives in the 991.1 GT3 and loved the performance and noise etc but found the gearchange a bit boring on the road. I am hoping the manual brings back some of the interest.

As a track car or for someone who wants the ultimate in performance, I totally get the appeal but that’s just not what I have in mind for the car.

Would have the RS as well but not instead of the Touring. I hope I don’t get offered the chance to swap as I would rather not have to make the decision!
