Thanks for making unfair assumptions.
Firstly, this is my third GT car this year
Secondly, I haven’t sold a single one
Thirdly, I would prefer to keep the 3RS but want to give more business to my dealer in incentivise them to give me a speedster.
Someone wise once said assumptions are the mother of all f@&k ups.
Assumptions not required. You have already stated that you are looking to be speccing for value in order to trade the car in to try to get the Speedster.... So well done for taking an allocation of the gt3rs that you want 'to incentivise the dealer' for the next rare car especially with a 2rs and .2 gt3 already.Firstly, this is my third GT car this year

Let me guess, you aren’t getting one. Maybe you should learn something here about building a relationship with your dealer.

Despite having a long history with 911’s, owning a GT3 and Macan GTS I was unlucky not to get an allocation. I do feel for OPC’s, damned if they do damned if they don’t allocate. Supply and demand unfortunately dictates not all will be fortunate in securing a new GT, be it 3 or RS.
So having brushed myself down what’s the opinion of 3RS production resuming post factory shutdown? Are we consigned to an extremely limited production run then wait for 992 versions to appear in dealerships towards end of year with GT3’s a further 2 years down the line?

So re WP.
What will the price be for full pack. Same as 2RS?
What parts of WP are on spec list so far? Not had chance to check!
Someone stated 2nd run of cars will get full WP but are we sure there will be a 2nd run/batch after factory closure?
No Weissach parts are listed on the configurator at this time, the parts are very unlikely to be made available individually. What will the price be for full pack. Same as 2RS?

I’ll be amazed if there isn’t a second batch of at least a few cars per dealer. Weissach pack rumoured to be available on June builds onwards, the wheels apparently have a further delay than even that due to the uptake of GT2RS Weissach.

Thanks Rich - spec in, order confirmed and April 10th build completion - with a bit of luck, I’ll have it in time for my Ring & Spa trip at the end of April - fingers crossed
Good for you chap - enjoy - it's a very good looking car - I am amazed how much better / agressive it looks than the gen1 and that was no dog - the front end really suits it and the back is perfect - they've done a brilliant job. I love the Lizard , the Gold Wheels look cool as do the black with green (so much nicer than the black with red for some reason) & the decals are back - can't say fairer than that ; good job Porsche !Only problem is I don't think they'll sell me one but we'll have to wait and see - but I think my lucks run out - but who knows I might make the cut for the MY 2019 - got to keep the faith , but if my luck has ran out then so be it , it was fun while it lasted - no complaints from me
Enjoy in rude health.)

I was in germany over the weekend, all sold out in germany and they have allocation numbers.
It seems that there could well be a lot more than first thought,to match the common most mass produced rs ever the 991gt3rs of 6500 units, seems like there will be plenty of these available at vastly reduce prices, they cant sell them quick enough! For current owners who need to get out of them for the next prized toy.
Its a shame that people make a choice on a new car because of what it might be later, rather than really wanting a car to drive and use, your now considered a hero to drive your car in a bit of rain, snow or salt.
Any way looking forward to the latest and greatest, until the next one.

At 6500 units for the 991RS that's 10x the original 996RS. If they produce the new one in similar numbers then that will really shake out the speculators. Maybe then we can all get back to driving our cars as intended!
I already drive my cars as intended , why don't you ?browngt3 said:

Interesting point. If Wikipedia is to be believed, 5,500 991.1 GT3's and 6,500 991.1 GT3 RS's were produced worldwide. If we similar numbers again, then that that would put total 991 GT numbers in the region of 24k, and probably over 2k for the UK market alone! That's a lot of GT cars

April has been mentioned by a number of people as the stop date for GT3 production. In the world of Porsche though who really knows!
My dealer got a few additional cars late last year and was hopeful of 1-2 more January time. I’ve not heard of anymore being made avaialble since then though.

Cheers, bud.My dealer got a few additional cars late last year and was hopeful of 1-2 more January time. I’ve not heard of anymore being made avaialble since then though.
A guy on here secured a GT3 slot late January time. Since that very lucky man I have heard nothing. So, as you say, if April is the stop month, it makes sense.

My car is being built in April, I've not seen anyone on here say they have a later build date. So I think for UK/Europe April is the end of production. It's not when production is ceasing though, it seems like the 991.2 GT3 is still going to be produced for the North American market in Q3. Quite a few people on Rennlist saying they have confirmed allocations for then..As you say...."who really knows"
And as above people have said they're quietly cranking out a lot of 991 GT cars. We effectively have GT2 RS, GT3 RS and GT3 all being produced in parallel with each other at the moment. No wonder OPC's can't get build slots for a 991.2 Carrera.
