That's a car arrived at Glasgow this morning, not mine though. I'm still on for leaving the factory on 4th May. Fingers crossed. Someone will have a fun weekend.
Might I be the first (and hopefully last) to say...

... May the 4th be with you.

I heard that quality checks had delayed all gt3rs deliveries to the UK until May 21st?

No room for both, and I will miss the manual - but I'm sure that will all be forgotten about once I'm back at the Ring and Spa biggrin

i quite like the understated chalk.
+1..... And just plain, simple white works well too: really shows off those contours and highlights the darker areas of the car....

All colours suit the 3RS imo, but I do think understated colours, on an “overstated” car, balance it out really well.... wink

^^ Yeah could agree with that. Last three Porsches have been black and the GT3 was stunning (when just cleaned) so felt I had to go extreme on this occasion and order Lizard, much to the disgust of the wife and kids. I'm sure they will change their tune after seeing it in the flesh, if not they aren't driving it.
Cheers.

Crayon looks good in that photo but whenever I see it there's too much brown in it.

agree a dirty crayon or even on dull days, is not a nice colour (it is even a colour lol )

In show rooms or on the internet Crayons looks great, out In the real world they are dull. imo of course

RS = Lizard, Yellow or Red imo those 3 are winners.

If i get the new RS my first choice is still Lizard however Guards is closing quickly..I think that Guards suits the Aurum wheels way better than Lizard.
I don't like Lizard with the Weissach pack;if i chose the WP i'd either go with RY or GR and put the £2.5k saving towards the Mag wheels..

As an aside i'm seriously looking for a genuinely light weight open sports/fun car for the summer..I don't want to spend silly money or suffer crippling depreciation..I'm loving the new Lotus Elise Sprint 220 but also really fancy the Ariel Atom/Nomad and the Caterham R400.
Any thoughts on my choices..?

I like your style, I also want to get back into some thing more exciting, 220 sprint is very nice but daft money, the others I think you would not use that much, the UK has too many showers :-(

My other mate is hanging up his Porker and getting the Caterham 360R seems a sweet spot.

I might go for a 2nd hand 220 CUP Elise at £35k, more usable more of the time and safe money over the Sprint which will see a £15k loss in 12 months !! or the face lift Exige basic 350 sport at £50k

you should come over and try my modded 987.2 Spyder when you get the RS, it's the only thing stopping my buying another Lotus straight away.

As Lizard will be more common , RED and Yellow are winners for the 3RS, as you say red with gold wheels , yummy a bit like my GT3 :-) shhhh.

The online magazine reviews from EVO, Autocar, Top Gear and Auto Express are all saying the car is jolly splendid. Which is nice.

Those photos above prove that RY and GR are the best colours on the RS ..GR with Aurum rims has to have matching red calipers to match, otherwise too much going on..
In complete contrast RY with Aurum rims needs to have the yellow calipers to match.
I fancy diversifying into Interior design to capitalise on my amazing colour coordination skills.smile
