991.2 GT3 RS - Here it is

My car is being built in April, I've not seen anyone on here say they have a later build date. So I think for UK/Europe April is the end of production. It's not when production is ceasing though, it seems like the 991.2 GT3 is still going to be produced for the North American market in Q3. Quite a few people on Rennlist saying they have confirmed allocations for then..
As you say...."who really knows"
And as above people have said they're quietly cranking out a lot of 991 GT cars. We effectively have GT2 RS, GT3 RS and GT3 all being produced in parallel with each other at the moment. No wonder OPC's can't get build slots for a 991.2 Carrera.
One of the last UK GT3's, Cheib. That must taste sweet. As you say...."who really knows"

Strange that other countries get so many more..

Too many details for that not to be accurate. I read on Rennlist a while ago that Green was going to make a comeback so clearly some people have good info! "Only" 20 bhp up on the GT3 ? Must be at the limits of what's possible with this engine
OPC's phones will be red hot this morning no doubt....
It's not even close to the limits, this is what they can do while maintaining emissions. This engine in stock form can produce (I gather) around 550-570, if emissions are put aside and warranty.OPC's phones will be red hot this morning no doubt....
Still all the other upgrades and updates from the .1 RS would have been more than enough, to be honest the power is the cherry on top of the cake, not even close to be the cake.

April has been mentioned by a number of people as the stop date for GT3 production. In the world of Porsche though who really knows!

Ive got an April/May build, No WP at the mo and i didn't want to gamble on a later allocation so have took a standard car, I didn't like the bare carbon bonnet and roof on WP anyway so it sort of made up my mind. gone Lizard green with the green interior. If WP comes available then i may opt to have it but then car would have to be black as it will look too fast and furious in green with carbon bonnet

At 6500 units for the 991RS that's 10x the original 996RS. If they produce the new one in similar numbers then that will really shake out the speculators. Maybe then we can all get back to driving our cars as intended!
I already drive my cars as intended , why don't you ?tree7777 said:
So do we think WPack will be available on first builds?
No..WP only available during the second round later in the year..As i'm giving the WP serious consideration i'm tempted to ask for a later build to give me the option..I'm currently unsure about the aesthetics of the exposed carbon bonnet and roof, however i'm really keen to get the magnesium wheels and titanium cage.If i decide to delay and get the WP i'll change the colour to one of the standard flat colours.Black with WP is currently my favourite but if i decide on the non WP then its Lizard all the way including the roll cage..
As with all the special recent Porsches the WP is much more desirable from a future value POV..

I was in germany over the weekend, all sold out in germany and they have allocation numbers.
It seems that there could well be a lot more than first thought,to match the common most mass produced rs ever the 991gt3rs of 6500 units, seems like there will be plenty of these available at vastly reduce prices, they cant sell them quick enough! For current owners who need to get out of them for the next prized toy.
Its a shame that people make a choice on a new car because of what it might be later, rather than really wanting a car to drive and use, your now considered a hero to drive your car in a bit of rain, snow or salt.
Any way looking forward to the latest and greatest, until the next one.

The exposed CF works well on a Black car....... If i decide to delay and get the WP i'll change the colour to one of the standard flat colours.Black with WP is currently my favourite

In principle, yes...although obviously nothing can be confirmed as Porsche have neither officially confirmed there will be a second wave nor released allocations...but it would be odd if it didn't come to fruition.
This is what I thought but Tony’s got one ? Confused.comAPOLO1 said:
