This man talks sense...I own a 991.2GT3 RS PDK as you do, but my clear favourite if you include value is a 991.1 GT3 RS, but only in UV because its bespoke to the gen 1 RS..
too many people care about value over having a car they enjoy, odd !No ones even driving 997.RS lol we have had 3 up for sale in the last month and a few people here own car with no miles !
madness, lets not even get into the 911 R or 997 4.0 very few see use :-(

No dog in this fight, but out of curiosity is it also the better track car or are you evaluating purely as a road car?
You won't get an unbiased objective answer from the owner of one car that doesn't have the other. All the .2 owners will say their car is better (engine despite the sportauto dyno not showing as vast a difference as claimed) but all the .1rs will say theirs is better (rs badge and more aero/grip etc). Unless one absolutely had to have a manual there's probably not so much difference between the 2 cars tbh.....GT4RS said:

I agree with this and after having a 991.1 RS and currently owning a 991.2 GT3 CS Manual - only discernible difference to me is the box - take your pick, no right or wrong here
Would you say the 991.1 rs is a more special car? It certainly looks it IMO.
I would say most normal people wouldn’t even tell the difference in turn in speed and engine power delivery.

You must be a driving god if a 911 rs feels dull to drive, I’ve never heard so much rubbish. Once you flip your new gt3 you will say it was crap and not as good as your new car 🤣

Can someone tell me what makes this a better car at £275K, than say a 720S or a Performante please?
Can you tell me why, if you go to a track day at the Nurburging, there are so man GT3s and RSs (of all generations, and BMW M cars, Renault RS etc.) very, very few McLarens and hardly ever a Lamborghini? Or why three near identical Performantes turned up (just to spectate) at the Porsche RS track day at Oulton Park in March?Digga said:

A mate is a long term Lotus Elise fan, just got a new 'S'. He's recently also got a 650s. He says if push came to shove, it's the Elise that he'd keep, even though he loves the tech and occasion of the McLaren and uses it as much as possible. He says the 650 just wants to go fast, and most definitely can, whereas the Elise you drive - get the performance from it, feel the grip and handling, wring the best from the engine - and are more involved with.

Are you really saying a 991 gt3 rs feels a bit dull on the road?

I don't see why you feel the need to attack someone for his opinion which incidentially I agree the 991 GT cars feel a bit dull on the road as well as it turns out although I don't personally agree that fiddling a manual gearbox on the .2 hugely changes things from a dual clutch. Contrary to what you seem to think, it is not being a driving god that makes the 991s feel a bit dull on the road but the fact you need so little effort/concentration to drive at very considerable speeds in them.

I’m not attacking anyone, he changes his mind and puts everyone’s else’s car down because he doesn’t own one. He did the same once he sold his gt4 and he’s doing the same now, he adjusts his position depending on what car he owns. He even slates the new gt3 touring as he hasn’t got one and it’s the same car as his!
Little concentration at considerable speeds, I wouldn’t fancy being your passenger. The avarage joe cant think fast enough to drive these cars anywhere close to there limits, so I have to disagree with yours and his comments.

As an example, I kept running out of front end grip today, so was wondering if the RS might have more than the GT3 - hasn’t it got wider ones? As mentioned don’t have experience of either of those cars, but just generally curious if somebody who wants to do a lot more track days might have a different viewpoint to sb who mostly does road driving
Road or track ? The cars very adjustable I find but if tracked will need a track geo.GT4RS said:

I certainly wouldn't want to be your passenger either when you actually seem to have managed to mixed up RSVP911 with Porsche911R. Or I'd like you to actually find any quotes by RSVP slating a touring or 'putting down everyone else's car'.He even slates the new gt3 touring as he hasn’t got one and it’s the same car as his!

Or if you actually think anyone is anywhere close to the limits on the road with one of these cars. The whole point is that you're doing those speeds without being anywhere close to the limits so it doesn't particularly take a lot of effort/concentration. The 991s very definitely reflect the modern trend towards making sports cars easier to drive quickly.
Who knows what he is going on about lol
I have been 100% truthfull when I owned my GT4 from day 1.
So much so I put my money where my mouth was and bought another Cayman R after taking delivery of mine. That’s pretty telling.
No one can acuse me of not telling the truth about cars that’s for sure even if I own them.
