What was the spec of the .2 in Leeds mentioned a few posts above ?

Why is the Red GT3 in Leeds up at 190 K?? How is that price 'justificated'. Prices in OPC's seem to be more or less aligned with similar specced cars. What am I missing here ?
I seem to recall its a Touring which explains the 190K.

Nothing explains £190k for a Touring...

Especially as it hasn’t got buckets. There’s no rear seats so not really the access excuse and it just makes such a massive difference to how connected you feel with the car....and I honestly don’t think you can drive it on the limit with normal seats.

They are getting better value day by day...
you can tell the fat cats own most of these cars as the seats are always got bent side walls !

it's not a one off either, I notice it on most cars ! not being funny but those are so bad it would put me even buying that car !

eta - just looking at the top end of prices and I'm glad to see the 12 mile Touring at Sutton Coldfield wasn't bought to flip.. shocking.

lol. I think at 144-145k that Yellow GT3 would be a safe-ish buy for a Yorkshireman smile

Trying to predict the bottom will be difficult. List will not be a resistance level as sentiment changes when the situation goes from a profit to a loss and people tend to rush out.

I am sure there are many traders on here that can relate to that

One or 2 sell at list then they will drop further. I have no idea what will happen and they may settle where they are but its fun watching owners talk prices up and buyers talk then down.

The acid test will be what will Porshce Finance give as a ballon on 160k .2? Anyone asked, that will tell you a lot. I have been told (could be wrong) they main dealers push you to 3rd party not VAG finance for the overs cars, tells you everything!

I had .1 and didn't fall for it, then a GT4 and again ok but not special enough. I then got the sorry you cant have the next one after 5 GT cars and none flipped so went elsewhere.

its certain the market is soft so lots of great cars will become cheaper and the reality is the enthusiast market can support all of the options out there. 120k buys you a lot of options come mid winter me thinks.

Next gen should be easy to get as the amount of buyers prepared to lose the VAT the moment they collect is a lots less than today

Nothing new.

Happened with gen1GT3 and GT4 as usual seasonal dip arrived and speculators offloaded leaving the true enthusiasts with the best specced cars of which prices then firmed up and are still retail over list £.

GT4RS - That's also a v nice example - I think that's been advertised for a few months now... What was it previously up for ??

With regard to the current GT3.2, do you not think that the Gen 1 991GT3 will be a support from a price point. Also whist there will always be a car that comes on at below market value as some one wants out. But as a high proportion on the cars are in the hands of OPCs, in my view they will ensure ask prices remain well above list.

All solid points, who knows where the real price will sit as I said I am not a doom sayer and I have no idea its just a thesis

I don't believe Porsche should be looked at in a bubble. Gen 1 is clearly a support level currently but I see 488,s 720,s and various other options coming into play

If the market was full of buyers who have to have one at all costs there would not be so many for sale. Something will happen, they will fall if they don't sell they will rise if the sell.

Rising tide raises all ships, the opposite is also true

Don't pay overs and miss out, pay the overs and enjoy, we can all decide.

True.

Also relatively more expensive (to the 981), next Springs 718 GT4 and Spyder will further prop up residuals in 2019 together with the usual seasonal increase.

With used .1 GT3 now at list price, I think .2 GT3 market will stabilise at 20k over list price.

A 4 year newer GT3 with sub 5k miles is worth more than a £20k difference over a gen 1 with 20k miles imo. retail there has to be more like a £30k gap other wise the 991.1's won't ever sell.

And Low spec cars always look very poor value even though they are the cheapest cars in the main, a high spec car might be £10k more but give you £15k more options ! so better value. bar the odd car we seem to be at £30/£35k overs atm if you want to buy a manual, £10k less for PDK's. And £50k overs for the T

The manuals seem to be selling still at £35k overs, only 8 again for sale atm. PDK I don't follow the prices but seem less money, the yellow car seems great value at a guess of £19k overs but for me I would want the trick LED's, some might not care, but 1: they cool super cool, and 2: they have black surrounds which look and work better with all the black trim esp on a yellow or red car, well any colour car.

Yes I own a manual, but I do think these will dry up come spring 2019, PDK cars in all brands are ten a penny and other brands offer far better value if you want an Auto below list price. People buying Manuals now are making quite a strong choice/statment so I doubt they are sellers going forward in big numbers as buying now at these prices one would think they are keepers.

All imho of course, these statements are NOT FACT'S and are solely the views from myself :-p if I have upset anyone with my views than I can only apologize in advance...And of course spec is a very individual choice of which I respect 100%.
